The Giants came to play for the first time in three straight play-off appearances today against the Buccaneers.

The Bucs forced Eli Manning to beat them by stacking 8 men in the box and amazingly he did.  Eli showed great poise, some accuracy and spread the ball out to everyone hitting Mr. Clutch (Amani Toomer), Plax, Bradshaw, Jacobs, Steve Smith, Boss and Madison Hedgecock.

In all fairness, Eli did make some low throws but I believe that some of these were a result of Eli incorporating the pump fake for the first time.  It lacks flow.  He moved around the pocket well and stepped up when he had to.  HE HAD NO INTERCEPTIONS OR FUMBLES!!!

Kevin Gilbride for once called a great game mixing up the run and pass really well.  I was the first one to say that the Giants had to run, run, run and then run some more to beat the Bucs.  Now everyone will be jumping on the bandwagon.

This is the biggest Gaints win in years and they controlled the clock like the Phil Simms led-Giants of old.

We all know by now that Jacobs is physical, but how about Ahmad Bradshaw?  He breaks contact after the first hit and keeps going!  There's no quit in either of them.  Don't forget that the Giants had Derrick Ward and Ryan Grant too at one point.  And we were all worried about who Tiki would pass the torch to.

I'm glad the Giants took a chance on Bradshaw, because as an organization, the Giants rarely; if ever, take a chance on a guy with character issues.

Michael Strahan had a monstrous game!  At one point bull-rushing his blocker into Garcia and grabbing Jeff for the sack.  Strahan was in on alot of plays and I sure hope he doesn't retire.

Corey Webster?  Where the heck did this come from?  Two interceptions in two weeks from the 2nd Round bust who has finally showed up.

Anyways, the Giants again got off to a slow start (which us Giants fans are now accustomed to) but it was nice to see Jeff Garcia constantly being put on his back.  He looked like he never even thought of taking off.

Jeff Feagles is SO clutch.

When your a Giants fan, the game clock can't move fast enough for you.  I hope everyone on the FOX pre-game show and Peter King keep picking against the Giants.  However, as Mike Francesa pointed out this week, a Giants win against the Bucs is necessary and everything else is gravy.  I solidly agree.

Funny seeing Guy Whimper in the game and just who the heck is this guy Tollefson?  He was in the backfield on every one of the few plays he came in for.

Amani Toomer is so money.

I miss Shockey.

The Giants were able to stop the Bucs on alot of 3rd and long plays.

So what Tiki Barber was on the Bucs sideline.  That's where him and his big mouth belong.  Good riddance.

Shame on the Bucs for the ticket controversery.

Looks like a McQuarters interception has just sealed it.

How do you like that Eagle fans?

Notes:  My wife and I really like Peyton Manning.  His SNL was replayed last night and even though he makes light of the fact that he is in 1 out of every 5 commercials on T.V., he is funny and is a natural at acting.  His sketch of QB-ing youngsters was funny.  FUNNY.

Funny how you didn't hear much about Ronde during the game. His open mouth makes him less aerodynamic. Time to retire Ronde. The defense is pretty good without you.
