Hey yesterday I did a mock draft on ESPN.com and my team turned out amazingly well. To bad it wasn't a real draft.  Here was what my team looked like after the draft:

C- Russel Martin
1B- Adrian Gonzalez
2B-Brian Roberts
3B-Alex Rodriguez
SS- Edgar Renteria
CI-Jeff Kent
MI-James Loney
OF-Anduw Jones
OF-Michael Cuddyer
OF-Austin Kearns
OF-Adam Dunn
OF- Carlos Lee
Utility- David Ortiz

P-Daisuke Matsuzaka
P-Trevor Hoffman
P-Chad Billingsley
P- Brad Penny
P-Phil Hughes
P-Zack Greinke
P-Jeremy Guthrie
P-Jonathan Broxton
P-Dontrelle Willis

Bench:

Ryan Garko
Kevin Youkilis
Ryan Theriot

You have to admit, that's a pretty good team.  My team has power with A-Rod, Dunn, Jones, and Lee.  They have good pitching with Willis, Matsuzaka, Hoffman, and Billingsley.  They also have good batting average with A-Rod, Lee, and Gonzalez.  My bench also isn't to bad.

It's not that great. Dice-K may very well struggle more this year, Willis in the AL could be very ugly, Hoffman and Kent are getting older, guys like Guthrie/Greinke gotta prove they can perform throughout the whole year, and guys like Kearns/Cuddyer aren't in the best offensive situations (line-up around them, overall team, ballpark, etc.). Same thing with Jones.

But you do have some great additions. A-Rod, Lee, Gonzalaz, and Ortiz are big fish. Adam Dunn, Renteria, and Brian Roberts are very good also.

yah, I know. My pitching is a little weak, but my hitters are great. And you can't get good players every round. I took Willis in the last round and who knows? He could be a great steal! I also didn't take any pitchers till round 8 which was probably a mistake.

Wow. Wild as hell starting lineup, but the pitching is terrible. I'm sure it's easily possible to come up with that lineup if you focus the first 10 rounds on the lineup.

ya, still I figure I can trade a few of my lesser hitters who are still good and bench players for a good pitcher or 2....

That is a good team, but Willis isn't a good player. Neither is Dunn. Willis isn't that great of pitcher, and Dunn strikes out a lot.

Lot's of Dodgers in that line up. I had to choose in my keeper league between keeping Loney or Kemp. I went with Kemp. I hope Joe Torre is smart enough to give him lots of starts. That kid will be a monster in a couple of years.
