... Cat Bathing. The person who comes out driest with the least amount of scratches and/or bite marks is the winner.
I'd compete, but I doubt I'd win-- I'm always soaked to the bone...

Yeah, my personal blog will be. I figure I don't have to keep it to sports on my own page... But I DID try to tie it in (at least this time)...
:)
Cincy-- I'm fine, thanks; only a few minor scratches; I was too quick when she tried to bite, so she missed me. My cat REALLY hates baths, but she has a mild case of fleas. I don't want to give her chemicals she'll have to be on the rest of her life: she's getting old and older animals tend to deal poorly with those treatments, so I'm experimenting with alternative/natural remedies. I tried this stuff by Sergeant's called Nature's Garden-- do NOT use this. She was a walking potpourri ball for about a week, which was nice, but it made her coat really oily and her fur fell out at the application spot. So it's on to baths every week or so and Borax on the carpet...

I once saw a video about anautomatic cat bath machine. You tosse the cat in, closed the glass door onthe front, turned it on, the cat got doused down by spray jets with water, then spray jets with soap, then 2 more times to rinse, then got blasted withair to dry it off.
In the end the cat came bounding out dry and clean. In between it was bouncing around like the numbered balls you see on the lotto machines.
Sure - you stayed dry and injury free... but I would like to see you try to put the cat in the 2nd time...
...and I assume you tried a flea collar? In the mean time might I suggest 2 sweatshirts, the heaviest elbow length gloves home depot carries, install the removable shower nozzels adapters (like old people use) mounted just above the tub so you can keep both hands on the cat, having a wash cloth soaped up and ready (so you don't have to take 1 hand off the cat for long) and an extra large box of band aides...
