March Madness

I don't think that the name "March Madness" has been adequate enough to describe what we have been going through.

SUPRISE OUTS:

(2) Georgetown Hoyas - Stephen Curry was the kryptonite to a team who had Elite Eight aspirations. Georgetown, in my opinion, won't get past the 1st round next year. No Hibbert will really hurt them.

(2) Duke Blue Devils - I personally believe this team was overrated. The lack of a post-presence caused their downfall. Coach K is going to have to make a change, if Duke wants to get to the Sweet Sixteen next year.

(13) San Diego Toreros - I was just starting to believe that the Toreros had a chance to go deep into the tournament. I was wrong. A huge win over the (4) Connecticut Huskies had instilled in me a false belief. They got handeled by the (12) Western Kentucky Hilltoppers, and their Sweet Sixteen dreams are over.

SURPRISE INS:

(10) Davidson Wildcats - The road to the Sweet Sixteen for Davidson has indeed been sweet. Wins over the (7) Gonzaga Bulldogs and (2) Georgetown Hoyas have greatly increased their credibility. Not to mention Stephen Curry's credibility.

(12) Western Kentucky Hilltoppers - Possibly the 2nd most surprising team in the tournament. A thrilling victory over the (5) Drake Bulldogs and a pretty easy win over the (13) San Diego Toreros has the Hilltoppers riding a Sweet Sixteen berth.

Individual Performance of the 2nd Round:

Stephen Curry - I can't say enough about this kid. 30 points, 8 rebounds, 5 assists in an unprecedented win over the Hoyas. I think he can lead this team over the (3) Wisconsin Badgers and into the Elite Eight.

Team Performance of the 2nd Round:

(1) North Carolina Tarheels - 108 points! They had 4 players score 15+! The Tarheels are on a level of play, that I think can't be matched by any team in the tourney. They are the obvious favorites to win it all.
