The top 3 NL offenses

1. The Phillies

Their best: Ryan Howard, Jimmy Rollins and Chase Utley

Last year the Phills had 213 homeruns ( 2nd in the league) and that number should remain about the same even though they lost Aaron Rowand. The Phills also led the league in RBI with 850. Some simple math: Howard + Rollins + Utley + Burrel + Feliz + Jenkins + Victorino= Best NL offense.

2. The Brewers

Their best: Prince Fielder and Ryan Braun

In 08 nobody will want to pitch against the Brew-crew. Imagine what braun will do with a whole season. For him I'm predicting a 40 homer, 110 rbi season and Fielder will have very similar numbers. Those 2 may be the big boppers on the team but very solid hitters like JJ Hardy and Corey Hart round out the order. Bill Hall and Tony Gywnn jr. aren't that bad either.

3. The Rockies

Their best: Matt Holliday and Todd Helton

Last year the Rockies were 1st in the NL with a 280 team batting average and with virtually the same lineup thet should duplicate their 07 success. Their lineup is full of young power hitters like Holliday ( duh), Hawpe, Atkins and Tulowitzki. Not to mention the veteran contributions of Helton and Torrealba. Compared to the phills and Brew-crew the rockies lack in power but are a better pure hitting team.

Nice blog. I would actually have the Cubs in there as well, they have a good lineup and can be very potent.

Yeah but compared with these teams the Cubs are average.
