Ive always knew that the points system in NASCAR was a little overrated and that I could rank the drivers just as good with the help of points,so here we gowith the top 5 drivers in NASCAR as of today
1.Jeff Burton-The guys an animal,with 8 consective lead lap finishes,and an average finish of 8,hes the top driver in NASCAR.
2.Denny Hamlin-He hasent won a race this season but is a consistant finisher and only had two finishes outside the top 20,a good guy at #2
3. Kyle Busch-He has a stong case for #1 with four straight top 10 finishes but he pushes his car a little to much early making him the third best driver as of now.
4.Dale Jr-Another hot driver who has a win and two top 10's in his last three races,but he drops to 4th because of his dnf which is not top three quility.
5.Jimmie Johnson-He is the best quilifer in nascar having three poles and only one start outside of the top 10,that being said hes hot now having a win and a top 10 in his last two races but also has finished outside the top 20 three times

NYFAN I don't know where you are getting your information but Junior is winless in TWO YEARS. Hmmmm??? True, he may have won Saturday night if it hadn't been for Kyle Busch. While Kyle may be able to drive a race car, his ATTITUDE leaves a lot to be desired !!! You don't make a lot of friends with the drivers or the fans with questionable driving skills. He deliberately ran Junior into the wall. I don't care what the announcers/NASCAR officials tried to sell on that point, I for one, am not buying it !!!
