White Sox in it for long haul if..........................

I am here to say that my White Sox are in it for the long haul & if Paul Konerko & Jim Thome ever start hitting, they can run & hide in division, this team reminds me so much of 05 World Champs, every player on roster contributes, and Gavin Floyd, & John Danks have stepped up & are their most consitant starters so far, I am not worried at all about their pitching, espcially their bullpen Remember in 05 Cotts & Politte, well they have it again with Linebrink(wow when was the last time he gave up a run) Thorthon, & Dotel, and of course probably the most underrated closer in the game Bobby Jenks( he was rated 15 by ESPN fantasy closers) I am a little worried about the hitting they would have a 6-7 game lead right now if they were hitting they blew another last night only 4 hits 1 run, they have lost at least 10 games this year where starters have given up 3 runs or less, I also think they should call up Jerry Owens and put him in centerfield immediatley, am I the only one on this planet that realizes this, the guy only hit over .300 with 25 SB after the 2nd time he came up last year and just because they traded for Swisher and do not want to look stupid they continue to play him, while Owens is in minors, I do not care what Owens is doing in minors right now, all I know is he should at least be given a shot to jump start thie offense, remember Scott Podsenick in 05, well thats Owens to a tee with a little more pop & a better glove, and it drives me crazy to see him in minors because we traded for Swisher and they will have to put Swisher on the bench and it will make them look bad, so instead of caring about putting the best player on field its about saving face, they just called up another player yesterday and it wasn't Owens why, because if he comes up and plays well, which I promise you he will( remember I am also the only person in White Sox nation to say do not trade Crede he will hit 30 homers and drive in 100, well he is on pace ) then they have to play him and Swish goes to 4th outfielder, and we give up Gio Gonzalez our best pitching prospect major league ready, and Ryan Sweeney who is only Oaklands starting centerfielder & hitting .290-.300 with about 20-22 rbis, and playing phenominal defense, we already blew it with giving Young to Arizona last year what did he hit 30 bombs last year, lets not do the same with Owens and get him playing everyday nuf said

Thats another quality start for Danks, but as usual only 4 hits , thats 2 games in a row with only 4 hits, When is this team gonna listen to me, they have lost 2 straight after winning 8 straight, because they need to hit, bring up Owens , they have to bring him up,

Boy did Contreras have his A game last night or what? 10K's through 7 IP and only 3 hits given up....your right about swisher, this guy has been below mediocre in his start with us...we should give him the dump and let Owens take a crack...not like it could get any worse huh?
Good blog...lemme know when you write them and ill do the same for me...hard to find white sox fans who blog on here....

Man thats 2 games in a row where their starters again pitched great and we just can't hit am I going to have to fly to Chicago and assisinate Swisher, Anderson, and whoever else to get them to call up Owens

All I know is the major need is a leadoff basestealer, I know AZcardsfan you like Jerry Owens but I don't feel he is the one. Yes he was lighting it up last year but DeWayne Wise is doing the same thing except with more power. I'd love for them to go and trade whatever prospects we have left for someone like Carl Crawford or Brian Roberts (move Alexei to center). Totally agree with you on Swisher but as of late he could put a Jacque Jones from last year and be the MVP of the second half. Swish has been pretty hot as of late and I definitely rather see Swish at first base then Konerko. Only if we could find a taker for either Paulie or Thomethen we would be set.
Also thanks Azcardsfan for post in this group. Last year i made this group hoping Sox fans would come but didn't get much success but I figure it was more because of the shitee season then not many Sox fans.

But Owens has never even got a shot, I do not care what his minor league stats are, anyway I say go get Jason Bay, and put as much as I do not like it, put Swish in center, because I am not sold on our offense with Paulie & Thome, do you realize if we do not hit homers we lose, and when it gets cold in postseason, the ball does not travel as good, How about Josh Fields, and Owens for Texiera, but where would he play, we could get Bay for Fields straight up I bet, I do not mind that Bay is young a pretty decent fielder and a 25-30 homer guy with 285-300 avg, plus with our lineup he might explode

Also if you look at some posts I made earlier, I called Gavin Floyd being good, but I also called Owens being good, and I was the only darn person that wanted Crede here, and predicted a monster year from him, I am actually a little disappointed in him, I expect a huge second half
