So far the NBA Finals of Lakers vrs. Celtics is going exactly as I thought it would. So far the Lakers interior men have been dominated by the Celtics strength advantage. Also, Pierce lighted it up just like I thought he would due to Vladimer covering him. Kobe was bothered a little by the hard Celtics D but has adjusted. Lastly, Ray Allen has been able to hit the three when open fully done with that slump of his. Now for the games.
Game 1-- I thought this would be a 5-15 point victory for the Celtics and that was confirmed. The C's defense was the biggest deal making Kobe struggle more than he has all season and dominating the inside game. Pierceand KG were able to dominate their respective counterparts as I thought they would. A side note Pierce definitly over exaggerated that injury but who am I to complain.
Game 2- THis is the game I thought would be close and if the C's lost would practically end their chances. Unexpectedly they dominated for a short while with Pierce leading the way. They built up a 24 point lead but loosened up on he defensive side. A roaring Lakers comebackmade my prediction of it being close the truth. Finally the Celtics won the game by 6 taking a 2-0 series lead to LA.
Game 3- All day even as I was wearing my gotta beat LA shirt I was saying the Celts were going to lose. Cousin didn't believe me and neither did my Dad but I knew the first game on the road is always tough especially for these Celtics. Kobe countuned the hot streak he started in the fourth of game 2 scoring 36 points without tons of shots. Pierce on the other hand cooled like crasy scoiring only 6 points on I think 2 of 14 shooting. THe Lakers won the game by 6 points even though both Odom and Gasol scored less than 10 points for the game. Dissapointing but expected to me at least this game was.
Now if the series contunues to go as I expect it to the Celtics win take one from La in Game 4. Game 4 is going to be a critical game because I don't think they will win game 5. Taking a 3-1 game lead to game 5 would have the c's in a great position to win number 17 at home. Pierce and Garnett are not going to struggle like they did but neither is Gasol and Odom so it will be close. I like the C's because Pierce and KG will have better games than those guys.
