Thoughts

Although manager Willie Randolph was fired after this game, the Mets sill had a great offensive game. Mikee Pelfrey had one of his worse starts, but, he still got the win. The Angels came back late by playing small ball, but the Mets were able to hold on and win it. The Mets are warming up, dare I say, and have won 3 out of 4. If the Mets can continue to win, they may be able to eventually challenge the Phillies for the NL East division title. Hopefully the firing of Randolph installs a sense of urgency in the Mets.
