If Germany is to win the final it will need better play in front of the net. Jens Lehmann allowed two soft goals in the match with Turkey and four goals in the last two games. Lehmann is certainly capable of being a lights out keeper. He went over 850 minutes without conceding a goal in the Champions League in the 2005-2006 season. He will have to regain his form fast. Spain almost turns into a super team when they get a lead and with Michael Ballack likely helping the back line cope with the speedy Spaniards, scoring opportunities may be scarce. I don't think a comeback is in the cards for the Germans.
All that goes out the window if the Spanish defeat themselves. It will be easy to let the bigger, more experienced Germans get in their heads. While this isn't a home game for the Germans, it's certainly in their neighborhood . The two teams are very different, yet it is hard to choose a winner if they both play up to their potential. If Spain attacks and keeps the set pieces to a minimum their talent should carry the day.

I completely agree. I've been thinking about how bad he is and I really do think that they should start Enke. He's a good keeper and he wouldn't make those stupid mistakes like Lehmann. He reminds me of a bigger Barthez at the World Cup 2006. He was awful and Lehmann is pure garbage. Why would Stuttgart take him? That was an awful move. Hope it doesn't cost them but it may.

I'll be rooting for Germany, but I think Spain will win it. The Spanish midfield has being great and Germany's suspect (unless one of the wings are making a run to goal). Now it looks like Ballack may be out.
If Lehmann has another poor game Germany is looking at a big loss.
