The state of Florida should be in comlete chaos right now. Why you ask? Well because both the Florida Marlins and Tampa Bay Rays are playing excellent. So fans should be coming in record numbers to both ballparks right? Not so much.
Marlins fans should be used to this by now. They've used the exact same formula. They have some good players and once it gets about time that they should get a big contract they're either traded or sign with another team in free agency. The Marlins should have more fans than what they do. They've won two World Series. I guess I'm just not getting why people don't show up...the Marlins are what every small market team aspires to be. Hanley Ramirez is one of the better young players in the entire league. The Marlins just always find ways to win and people never show up to their games. I'll admit the Marlins haven't been good in a while...but, come on people this is what they always do.
As for the Rays. Well, they've been getting a few more people to show up. And I see the skepticism. The Rays have been historically bad. But, they've got some of the best young talent in all of baseball. They've got arguably the best young pitcher in all of baseball, David Price. They've also got an incredibly talented rotation...Scott Kazmir and Matt Garza...this team is only going to get better. On top of it I like how they have added some veteran leadership into their clubhouse. The Rays have done an excellent job of drafting and making some genius trades...and also have clearly robbed some teams, I'm looking at you Mets. Anyways this team has just got so much youth. The one thing that will be interesting is that this team has never been through a meaningful August and September. There's so much overall talent on this team that I don't think it will bother any of them.
So what needs to happen especially with the Marlins. I think the Marlins have to move. The Rays fans have at least shown some signs of life. But, I think the Marlins need to move..they need to go to a place where they'll be accepted and where people will actually watch their games..and possibly allow them to keep a guy or two. What are your thoughts?

Rays DEF need a new stadium, and with a season like this, its a great that they lobbied for one...i think it will help them out. The one they have now is horrible....
as far as Marlins....your right. they need to move and get outta town..for a team that has brought championship(s) to the city its hard to think that the city isn't showing more support for them...

Report Offensive CommentThe stadium for the Rays was put on hold by the Ray's themselves. They did so for the purpose of having a third party look into the site and funding. It appears the Ray's may have gained a few benefactors or at least won some fans.

Report Offensive Commentlisten man i am a die hard marlins fan since 2003 and i have seen great players leave like a castillo, rodriguez, lee, lowell, beckett, and the list goes on and on but we do have fans we actualy have a higher tv rating than the padres, and dodgers the only reason you dont see fans in the stands is because the stadium is to far from where the real fans are and with gas prices rising what the hell do expect to happen that is why we are getting a new stadium in the orange bowl closer to where all the fans are so get facts right before you write STUFF like this ever again. GO MARLINS.

Report Offensive CommentHe's right the stadium is too far and there is a game almost everyday .U cant drive to Ft.Lauderale everyday to go see the marlins with the gas prices and how bad the economy is. People go see the dolphins because they play once a week; when they make the new stadium people will come. And i am talking to everybody thats talking **** that the marlins don't have any fans, that includes the broadcasters from FSN, they act stupid by saying they don't understand why the fans dont come.. THIS IS WHY, Stop acting stupid and making us look bad..... WE LOVE THE MARLINS!!!
