The Jets enter the season with a solid core of wide receivers which should help out whoever we have at qb So lets begin
Laveranues Coles:Coles is a true Jet. Hes been our best wide receiver for some years now, and with a new extension expect the same Coles were use to. Even though last year was a bit of a disappointment because he missed four games and only had six tds for 646 yards, Coles will be back to his old form as will the Jets
Jerricho Cotchery: Last year was a breakout year for Cotchery ending it with 82 catches for 1,130 yards and two tds. He showed that he can be the number one target and is a great number two with Coles back. Even with a young qb in Clemens except the same from Cotchery, and a pro bowl apperence to as long as he stays injury free.
Wallace Wright: I know most of you have never heard of Wallace.Wright is big at 6'1 and played his collage ball for North Carolina but never was a starter. He was on the Jets for the final four games of the regular season and played on there practice squad in 06 but never really made a name for himself. This year he's second on the teams depth chart for second wide receiver which may not seem like much but when you watch him play its just amazing. Even in mini camp I saw him hustling for ever ball that was thrown his way and running solid routes. He may not be the fastest guy but makes up for that with good hands and is a great jumper. Being the third string wide reeciver I still see him making a big impact and becoming a solid number two threat in the near future so watch out for number 15 this season making his mark on the NFL hes the Jets true secret weapon.
Brad Smith: One of my favorite players Smith is a triple threat, he can run, pass or catch which is everything you could want for an offensive playmaker. Last year he had two tds, on 32 catches which is all you can except out of him. But we dont use Smith as a wide receiver so we should never except great numbers rather a playmaker. So many times last year I remember him lineing up as queterback or a running back and making a big play. Smiths a great guy that makes the game interesting which makes us lucky to have him on our team.
Marcus Henry:Marcus was our sixth round pick this year but he will play like a first rounder. Henrys big at 6???4, 207 pounds and runs a 4.49. Lasy year at Kansas he had 104 catches for 1,014 yards and 10 tds which shows that he can play against top competators. Even though he wont play that much this year hes a big read zone threat because hes a great jumper and hands make it easier for him to go up and get balls in the end zone. In time he will be our number two or three wide receiver but his impact this year will be minimal.
Chansi Stuckey: Stuckey is entering his second year in the NFL after being picked in the seventh round by the Jets last year. Even though he was on the practice squad all last year Mangini likes him and he should make the team. "What I liked about Chansi last year is he was very involved the whole time he was not involved," Mangini said. "He was diligent in his preparation" That goes to show he should make the team as our sixth and final wide receiver but dont except more then a special team tackle here and there from him.
In all the Jets have a nice group of wide receivers that are young and big play guys. They may not be the fastes but make up for that with heart and true detication to there team

Good blog but that's a whole lot of unproven receivers behind Cotchery and Coles.
