The next issue of OK! magazine includes a story that Alex Rodriguez and Madonna may be having an affair. Actually, the rag (oops -- "mag") only asserts that they are "sexy new friends," then drops some innuendo to help us all jump to the much juicier conclusion.

Far be it for the 10 Spot to question the fine folks at OK!. (In fact, we may start calling this The 10 Spot Blog! Catchy, no?)

Indeed, now that we take a fresh look at Madonna's song book, she might as well have been talking about A-Rod all this time:

Borderline -- Yelling at an infielder trying to catch a pop-up

Holiday -- What A-Rod's bat goes on every October

Justify My Love -- The attitude Yanks fans have taken toward A-Rod since Day 1

Lucky Star -- A-Rod's view on beloved former Yanks 3B Scott Brosius

Papa Don't Preach -- His stance on Joe Torre

Who's That Girl -- The "mystery blonde" from Toronto on the cover of the Post

Dress You Up -- Making agent Scott Boras look like the bad guy for opting out during the World Series

Beautiful Stranger -- Wait, have we already mentioned the "mystery blonde"?

Express Yourself -- Mrs. A-Rod's T-shirts

Into the Groove -- A-Rod's regular-season batting stroke

Like a Virgin -- Unlike Jeter and company, he still hasn't won a ring

Material Girl -- One potential motivation for Mrs. A-Rod to hang in there

Nice work Tuna

Like a prayer - have we mentioned the blonde yet?

Rain -- What A-Rod and the "mystery blonde" were doing at that strip club.

No Vogue joke?

Well, OK, I'm having trouble trying to think of one, too

Morning All. Finally got through all the e-mail from 3 weeks of being gone and now I get a chance to breath. What did I miss?

True Blue - A-Rod won't be a "True" Yankee until he wins a championship. You can also beat up anyone who uses the phrase "True Yankee."

No wrath... that actually made me laugh. I have never been able to come up with a nickname for him on my own.

Plus... if he turns out to be as successful as the Fresh Prince, I would have absolutely no beef with that.

That's the first thing I said all morning that was right.

(It hasn't been a good one for me.)

Crazy for you - Did you notice the blone?

I feel left out of this post. Can we do the Mills Brothers?

July 1, 2008  11:17 AM ET

Rick, how about Sarah Vaughn?

I know it's hard to keep up with these flavor-of-the-month teen pop stars like Madonna, but do the best you can.

I get the sense that I am being mocked here.
That's okay. I can take it.

I actualy like the songs from that era, but only the ones with lyrics, even though it WAS before my time. Should I bring up Lanie Kazan again? she could sing...
