Gareth Barry and Robbie Keane to Liverpool? I must have woken up in the twilight zone. This is the same Liverpool that year after year causes me to ask "Who is that guy?" To be fair the Anfield signings are usually serviceable and sometimes excellent but they are rarely people I've heard of. Two big targets already and it's only July, madness. I know they probably won't land both but I can't help feeling some anticipation. WHAT EXACTLY Is Chelsea doing, stockpiling midfielders? Deco joins Frank Lampard, Michael Ballack, Michael Essien, Jon Mikel Obi and Claude Makelele. Seriously it's like a mad Russian is running that team. Oh yeah, I forgot. NOTE TO EVERY MLS TEAM: Pass on Ronaldinho. Henry, yes that could be interesting but "little Ronaldo" seems to be following his mentors path. If the man can't stay fit he'll be useless in the U.S. I'm not saying that he doesn't ooze talent, I'm saying that a player that doesn't take his fitness seriously will have difficulty playing in Houston or Dallas in August. Surely somebody in Europe will grab him up. Chelsea perhaps?
