Last week we looked at Indiana's Top 10, and this week we're looking at Kansas'. Not to dis Mehringer or Smith -- well, maybe a little -- but I'd probably replace them with Billy Cunningham, the first great Kansas miler, and Al Oerter, who won discus gold medals at four different Olympics, the last at age 32.

I can't believe you left out Al Oerter!
As a Jayhawk, Oerter set four world records. He was a two-time NCAA Champion in the discus, a two-time All-American and a seven-time conference champion. As a team, Kansas won every indoor and outdoor track and field conference championship in each of Oerter's four years at KU.
