As we near the US Open, I have some players in mind that will exceed expectations and players that will disappoint fans.

Sleepers

Ernests Gulbis.  This player was one of few to take a set from Nadal in Wimbledon, and we saw what kind havoc Gulbis made at the French Open. Prediction- Quarters

Next up, I have Mario Ancic.  We have all been waiting for Ancic to do well for a couple of years now, and Ancic has finally started to perform with great power and has showed us his great serve and volley game.  We can tell Ancic is making a move by his route of David Ferrer, who is ranked 5 in the world. Prediction- Quarters

Busts

David Ferrer.  I know he is 5 in the world, but can he duplicate his semifinal run of last year?  My answer will be no.  Ferrer is a great player, but after barely eating Igor Andreev and getting ousted by Mario Ancic, you have to question Ferrer's ability to play.  Prediction-2nd Round

Last but not least, Lleyton Hewitt.  His ranking and his skill has gone down a tiny bit over the past couple of years.  He had trouble in Wimbledon this year even getting past the first round.  He pulled through, beating Robin Haase, (who plays in challenger tourny's frequently) in 5 sets.  Prediction- 3rd Round

If anybody has more big sleepers or US Open busts, please list them in the comment section.

Its not like the blog was poorly written, but it was a waste of time. NO WAY IN HELL does someone besides Fedrerer, Nadal, or Djokovic come even close to winning this tournament.

For sleepers, I guess David Nalbandian, for busts, James Blake, but like I said, this is a three horse race, and the other 125 players honestly don't stand a chance

I know, but in tennis nowadays there are no sleepers, like I said before, there is honestly no chance anybody besides the 1, 2 , or 3rd ranked player in the world is taking home the open

I'm just introducing some rising stars.

I hate to say it but it's a hard court tournament so you can not count out James Blake in this one.
