  •      During one of my early fantasy drafts this year I was looking to pick up some late round running backs. My choices included Justin Fargas,Chester Taylor, Ahman Green, Ricky Williams, and others. I decided to draft Ricky.           I had Fargas last year off the wire and he did some good work after Rudi Johnson killed me, but the Oakland RB situation is up in the air and I don't trust Al Davis. Chester Taylor would come in handy if Adrian Peterson went down, and should get carries anyway, but I believe if A.P. isn't hurt Taylor just spells him.  Ahman Green has his injury and age issues. So that left Ricky.          Two big questions emerge with that selection. Can Ronnie Brown go full speed after his rehab? Do you think Ricky Williams is for real and can stay healthy? I have no intrest in the Dolphins as a team but one can allways use a RB who dosn't share a lot of carries with someone else. If Brown can't go full speed and at some time gives up 50% of his carries to Williams, Ricky could have a good year. Remember I drafted him for depth with upside, not as a starter.                                                                                         Reports from around the web say both are having a good off season, with Brown running well and Williams training hard and showing an eagerness to please the Big Tuna. I believe that Brown will have problems with his injury and Williams will be Parcells' choice to take over. Running well in July and not having that injured spot targeted by 300 lb. linemen is not the same as a game in November up North. Miami is away at N.E. NYJ. and Buffalo in Nov. and Dec.. After the week 4 bye the Fins play San Diego and thats where I think Brown's production will start falling off.                                                 As for Ricky's upside, Parcells has little time for malcontents and boat rockers, and  if the reports about his eagerness on the field are true he may have turned a new leaf. He also looks well muscled and trim in the picturesI have seen around the web. So I took a late round flyer on him and not a #2 TE. We shall see how it shakes out. My TE has a week 8 bye so I've got time.
