The Chris Baker Chronicles: The PUP placement Explained
It has become apperant that Chris Baker was indeed put on the PUP list due to a sore back and shall remain on the PUP roster until he can clear the team physical. It is also believed that Baker could be backing down on his campaign because as long as Chris is on the PUP list, the Jets don't have to pay his salary and Chris and his agent have thus far kept quiet which would lead me to believe this is a vaild reason for the quietness. Hopefully though the Jets will soon learn how to keep their promises.
Of course the Jets can't really afford to lose Baker yet. Dustin Keller still needs lessons on blocking and can learn a lot from Chris. (Bubba) Franks is a decent tight end but, Chris has better blocking skills .... It is going to be a loooooong training camp.
