More Players Moving

Deals deals deals... sounds like an ebay advertisment

Some of the recent moves by players has been very surprising to me. I will start off with the most surprising followed by another lesser move that I found more interesting and so on. Either way the NBA is a business and the players are moving around and finding new homes.

James Posey, winner of the NBA Championship with Boston and Previously Miami is moving down to Mardi Gras, yes he is moving to the Hornets. He will fill a much needed void and play alongside Chris Paul, David West, Peja, and Tyson Chandler. Should be a nice fit. 4 years and 25$ Million isnt bad either!

Moving on

 Josh Childress

He is moving to the Greek team Olympiakos, and will join the team next season, sending a tough message to the rest of the NBA about its stringent rules on restricted free agency. The Hawks still hold NBA rights to him for 2 seasons but they are getting nothing in return for their solid 6th man. He averaged 11.1 PPG and 5.6 RPGs in 4 seasons. 3 years and 20 Million...

 Next

Ronny Turiaf

The Warriors signed him to a 4 year offer sheet which the Lakers did not match. Turiaf, who is coming off the best season of his career averaging 6.6 PPG and 3.9 RPG for the Western Conference champion Lakers in 2007-08, adds much-needed size and energy to Golden State’s bench.

Marcus Camby moves to the Clippers for nothing.

The Defensive Player of the year... The 12-year veteran, who has led the league in blocks the past three seasons, averaged 9.1 points, 13.1 rebounds and 3.6 blocks in 2007-08. Shot blocking and Defense in Clipperland, that should be interesting.

Cj Miles also joining Hornets

Cj Miles skipping the Rocky Mountain Review Summer Jazz Basketball League for the 2nd year in a row is no longer questioned as stupid and selfish. Miles signed a four-year, $15 million deal with the New Orleans Hornets. Miles is a young talent and even thought the Jazz still have 2 more days to match the offer they wont because of the Money that is going to Williams, AK47, Boozer and Okur possibly next season. The Jazz were stacked at the 2 and 3 positions that Miles Plays. They have Morris Almond, Kyle Korver, Matt Harpring, starters AK47 and Ronnie Brewer, and then Ronnie Price that can switch into the 2 so this is a good move to let CJ go.

So thats the news, one more item of Business that I would like to end on.

Williams resigned in UTAH. Williams has agreed to a three-year extension, with an option for a fourth, that will be worth the league maximum. Around 50 Million Deal!

Another good blog, utahs lucky williams resigned or else he would have been in a laker jersey in a few years

I'm am SO mad the Ronny is leaving. Now nobody will be chearing the Lakers on and providing energy off the bench. This is horrible (not the blog, that was good.)

Yeah Turiaf leaving is a major blow to the lakers, he is better than sasha which they went after more intensely than turiaf.
