The Yankees shouldn't waste their money or their prostpects for Washburn. He's no good. They should worry about better pitchers on the market, and if Posada is out for the rest of the season, they should trade for Jason Bay because Matsui isn't staying healthy, and the Yankees arn't gonna waste $16 million on Bobby Abreu this off-season when he becomes a free-agent. Bay has around 2 years left on his contract and only make $7-$8 million a year opposed to Abreu's ridiculous $16 million contract. If anything, they should trade guys they know that won't be wearing pinstripes come the '09 season, someone like, IDK, Jason Giambi, who makes a ridicouluos $20 mill this season and this is his contract year, the same with Abreu, or Mussina, but they need him due to having a great season. In the end, the Yanks most likely NOT trade for Washburn because he is NOT worth $13 million+, and try for Arroyo who is better and MUCH cheaper. Also, they should trade for Bay because he IS worth much more than $7 million a year. I think they should also wait for Teixiera to become a Free-Agent because they won't need to trade for him, rather just signing him. If they make a BIG trade before the deadline, they may have what it takes to make the post-season.
