You know I am a die-heart Yankees fan, and the Pirates are my second favorite team, very close to the top then the Dodgers, but if this was a division race it would Be Yankees 0 GB, Piraes .5 GB, and Dodgers 5 GB.

The Pirates trade away the X-Man for a few prospects.  Wow.  You know the day after the trade someone asked why I live in Pittsburgh and do not cheer for the Pirates all of the time,  My response was, how can you cheer for a team that trades away players like Xavier Nady and still has Adam Laroche and Jose Bautista on its team.  For the Yankees, it was a great trade, they recieved the X-Man and Damaso Marte a fairly decent lefty pitcher.  And they only had to give up Jeff Karstens, Jose Tabata, Ross Oldendorf, nad Daniel Mclutchen.  Some Prospects but they got a great left fielder now in Xavier Nady to take over until Heideki Matsui gets back (hopefully never)!

Next the Pirates trade away Jason Bay, to the Red Sox(BOOOOOOOOOOOOO) and the Red Sox (BOOOOOOOOOOOOOO) trade away Manny to the Dodgers, and in return the Pirates recieved Brandon Moss and Craig Hansen from the Red Sox (BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO) and Bryan Moris and you should sit down for this one, Andy Larouche.

Please Leave plety of comments.

How great the Pirates are bringing in yet anithere Larouche do recieve high expectations and then fail to reach his expectaions.  Just like his Big Brother Adam who has simply been spectacular ( If you consider a medocre sub .250 average spectacular).  Get this Andy is batting .208 so far this year, yes he is young but he is a Larouche.  So the Pirates just traded away arguably one of their best players in the last few years to put on a Pirates uniform, do not get me wrong that is no great accomplishment.

And my favorite yet Jack Wilson is still a Pirate.  The day I heard that i heard he might be trades I was so happy.  I have bee nwaiting fort the Bucs to trade him away forever but instead they trade away J-Bay, X-Man, and DaMaso Marte.

Not trying to offend you, but you know nothing about these trades.

Nady is having a very good year, but he is not a great player. He is a quality role player who is having a career year. Even with this stellar year, his average is still like .280 for his career. Marte is the better pickup for the Yankees. They could groom him as the closer if he was five years younger. Tabata could easily become a better pickup than those two combined, and they got three average pitchers, and I think Karstens and Ross could become pretty good pitchers in the majors.

The Pirates were the winners of this trade. Moss may end up being as good as Bay. Hansen could become a very good closer. Sure, we already have Capps, but we could trade him for a position of need later on. Laroche just hasn't been given time to pan out yet. Aramis Ramirez looked like garbage when he first came up with the Pirates, too. And if Morris never has anymore problems with his TJ surgery, he could become a VERY good starting pitcher.

And on Wilson. What? He can hit for a very good average, usually hitting around .300. And of course, he is a gold glove caliber fielder. And there is no one to fill in for him. They should have, however, traded him last year when the Tigers offered us Jair Jurrjens for him.

If Hanson finds a way to get his slider back that he had before he signed, he's going to be a premier closer in the league. Brandon Moss is almost a sure thing to become a Pirates staple. I wouldn't call the Pirates the "winners of the trade," but they certainly won much more than the Red Sox did. I'd give that honor to the Dodgers.

And the BOOOOOOOs were really professional.

Except for the part about Jack Wilson, who is useless.

He has hit .300 ONCE in 8 seasons.

He has never won a Gold Glove...in 8 seasons.

Jack Wilson isn't quite useless, but in Pirate standards, he's not productive enough at the plate for what he's making.
