As a baseball junkie I must admit that I secretly enjoy those redsox-yankees games.  I am also an Indians fan.  Lifelong. Folks, I have seen some truely bad baseball in my short little life.  I have also had my heart broken a few times in October.  Redsox fans do not have a monopoly on disappointment, but I get it already.

As for the Yankees?  I can respect their tradition, Their 26 World Championships, Ruth/Gehrig/Mantle/Dimaggio/Jeter or Teddy Ballgame/Yaz/Bill Lee.....ad naseum....

What I cannot digest is the annual purchasing of their latest championship windows.  Every year the these two gluttons buy and sell their way into contention.  A Randy Johnson here..and A-Rod there.  What's a few billion to win a world series?  What is never spoken is that neither have any assemblance of a farm system or prospects to speak of, unless you consider Clemens picthing for Port St. Lucie a prospect.  I get very frustrated with the incessant whining among both of these two teams about.....I really don't know, they just whine.

I think the likes of Curt Shilling and Roger Clemens demonstrate the self-indulgent borderline narcissistic aura both these teams behold so sacredly.  How great would Theo or Cashman be if they had to build a championship run from the frame up?  Planning 3-5 years in advance, watching every million?  Steinbrenner? Don't get me started on this chucker! Here is hoping that the downward spiral continues for both of these teams.  Besides, what would Redsox fans have to do during the winter if things went well?  I shutter to think about all of the scribes working for the so-called NY papers losing their jobs if all is well in Gotham.  Trust me, it is best for you.

Thanks, listen to the Ronnetts..

Nice. I'm a Yanks fan but you hit the nail on the head. It would be nice to see them build up players into superstars. That will be the only thing that really saves them.

As long as they sell out with the money that will have issues and short term fixes. Right now they better regroup.. They are a real trouble.
