This time we'll get to know more about the one and only, Mac
What made you want to join NMI?
I never really wanted to join; I was invited and allowed in. During the time I was on FanNation and that NMI was active, I had no real awareness of it and it's activity. Never really saw it discussed and for whatever reason, didnt really notice it. Might've been due to my activity having been not what it was last Summer when I was a rampant user, but whatever it was... I was sort of surprised to have receieved an invite to a group I didnt know jack squat about. Now I'm in... and I guess I gotta be more active. I'll get on that...
What do you like best about FN?
If you had asked me about that last Summer, it definitely would've been the throwdown arena. Now, it's easily the Chat Room Group. It's virtually the only reason I'm on FanNation now. Because it's still here and active, I pass the time with blogging for the S.I.F.S, Dogs, Pigs and Sheep and poke around groups like NMI and the FanNation Hall of Fame... but honestly, if the "Atroo" were to disipate... I'd try and go have a life.
What do you like least about FN?
I'd love to just keep it simple and say the "idiots" in order to keep with NMI code, but I'm no conformist; I listen to Slayer for God's sake. Anyway, it's gotta be the throwdown area. As weird as it sounds, I dont enjoy it anymore. Dont care to do throwdowns and have gotten tired of the way it goes: bias voting, bloc voting, jerks in the comments, having to think and write arguments, etc. Just... blah. Would rather blog which I do a lot. Guess I'm doing something right too since I keep getting such high rankings between bloggers.
Any members of Fannation help get you where you are today?
Sweet fansy moses... there's too many. Guys like BigBen68, Eagle Hater, DJTG, Chrono8008, Coletrain and a few others were early friends and got me into the Chat Room Group, creating a whole circle of friends and second life. Update that and now I've gotta mention Cardsox; dude, I love you. Not nearly as much as you do Nomar (that's just not healthy) but you da man. Regardless if I've never seen you face to face. And the same goes for Coletrain, no matter how much he thinks I'm mean to him.
What drew you to join FanNation?
SI.com. Was bored one day while surfing the internet inbetween trips to midget porn sites (SO KIDDING) and found a link to FanNation... and with no care for cliches and what people think: the rest was history.
What do you (plan to) do for a living?
At the moment, I'm a bag-boy at a grocery store. As far as plans for the future, I have no f'ing idea. Career ideas range from being a sports writer, analyst or broadcaster, to being a NCAAB or NBA Referee to even a High School Social Studies teacher. Yeah... I dont know.
What are your goals in life?
Goals? Pssh. I dont think that far ahead. But really, be well off financially (e.g. No pay-check to pay-check stuff) and be happy. That simple. There are things I know I want that will make me happy, and a pursuit of happiness is all I'm interested in.
If you could go to one sporting event before you die, what would that be and why?
I'd go see the Red Sox play the Yankees. I dont care if it's at Fenway or at Yankee Stadium, if the Red Sox won or if the Yankees won by 20-runs (although that would be total and inexplicable suckage). I just wanna experience the rivalry.
When did you first become a sports fan and what drew you in?
It was pretty early on... yeah, that's all I got on this one.
What was/is your favorite subject in school and why?
If you have a solid short term memory, you know the answer. But if you're like my dad who suffers from CRS (think about it for a second, people) I'll remind you: History.
Who is your greatest sports idol?
That changes like my career ideas: monthly. At the present time being, it'd be Michael Jordan. Wish I could jump like him... maybe shoot like him... or dunk like him... I wanna be like Mike!
Who is your greatest non-sports idol?
My grandmother. She's the hardest working person known to man and I'm yet to hear her complain about anything. She's the strongest person I've ever come across in my 18-years of living. Definitely a person I respect and honor.
What was the first live sporting event you attended?
Some Hornets game when I was really young. Back when I lived in Mooresville, North Carolina and they were still the Charlotte Hornets and had Larry Johnson on the team. Remember having the gargantuon bee flying around the arena.
What is your fondest sports memory?
Gotta be any game during the 2004 ALCS and World Series. Prior to the 2004 season, I wasnt much for watching baseball. Always had played it but never watched it, actually, I just didnt watch sports much growing up -- always wanted to be out there playing it. So, in 2003 I started to pay attention a little bit and was naturally drawn to the Red Sox, much like I was naturally drawn to despising the Yankees. Aaron Boone became a mortal enemy of mine in 2003 -- David Roberts, David Ortiz and everyone from the Red Sox became idols in 2004. Staying up 'til one in the morning during the ALCS and watching Keith Foulke make that World Series clinching out was so big for me.
What do you do in your free time away from FanNation?
Shut up, guys. Just keep it to yourself. Anyway, was talking to the Atroo. I go out and party a lot. Drink, get laid, pretty much live it up, baby. Living in the fast lane and cant drive 55.
What are your favorite teams and why?
Let's see... the Boston Red Sox, LSU Tigers, North Carolina Tar Heels, Chicago Bears, Chicago Bulls, Chicago Cubs and the Carolina Panthers. And hell, I can dig Tiger Woods, Jeff Gordon and Roger Federer too.
What have you've learned since joining FN?
That I'm wasting my teenage years away.
What would you like people to know about NMI?
That it has the best losers on the website. (I mean that in a good and bad way, figure it out on your own. Hint: my What have I learned since joining FN answer ties into it)
If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be and why.
Nothing is wrong with me. I'm the Mac Daddy. But really, I'd like to be taller. That's about it. Being 5'4" sucks.
What is your biggest regret?
Havent lived long enough to know.
If you could have done one thing differently in your time on FanNation, what would it be?
Not have been such an immature jerk in the first few months. If you were around then you know.
Favorite movie, band, food?
Movie: Apocalypse Now. Marlon Brando and Martin Sheen were fantastic. Loved the Doors music involved as well.
Band: If you know me I dont even have to say who, but if not... METALLICA!!!!!!!!!!!!
Food: I dont know... I love everything. It's all good. Except sushi... and chicken salad... and broccoli dipped in cheese...
What advice would you give to a new FN user?
Stay for a little while, have some fun... and then get the hell off the computer and get invited to your own life.
There you go..now you know more about the Mac Attack himself. Look forward to more of these blogs in the coming weeks.

"having to think and write arguments"
I think that's Mac's real reason for not throwing down. He has to THINK.
