This is the 18th in a long series of blogs.  Hopefully you've enjoyed the previous 17 volumes -  rstowe, porkins, NCshvDavidGoodellT-fo, Duquesne, Jimmer, Hiya, BSchwartz, The Ram, Ghosthunter, Bigalke, 0x, Danbash, Hemo, NickB and Mac.

In this volume, we'll get to know something about Super Squirrel

What made you want to join NMI?

Wow...it was so long ago that I don't even remember for sure...I think I looked at the group, felt I wasn't an idiot, and just applied...

What do you like best about FN?

The fact that it's the only place that I can talk sports with people who actually know sports. My friends don't care about sports as much as I do, they don't dissect sports like I do...but here, I can have knowledgeable conversations about sports.

What do you like least about FN?

The fact that the majority of the material put out on this site is cookie-cutter material, so to speak. There is a definite lack of originality on this site. A lot of blogs that I look at (and I'll admit, that I do) are basically repeating sports stories of the day, every once in a while throwing in about a sentence that is actually our opinion. Is this terrible? No, but it annoys the hell out of me when people can't come up with an original idea for a blog or a throwdown. Manning vs. Brady, College vs. NFL...Make up a new idea every once in a while...

Any members of Fannation help get you where you are today?

Even if we got off to a rocky start, Krobe definitely helped me out at the beginning, as well as basically all of the original Night Owls.

What drew you to join FanNation?

Haha...I love answering this question, because I think I am about the only member of NMI that was brought to FanNation this way. August 11, 2007, one of my friends from school got into a College vs. NFL TD, was losing, so he posted a bulleting on Myspace asking for votes. I was intrigued, set up an account, (first named Twinsfan3108, which has been changed several times...), proceeded to vote for him, and then got sucked in...

What do you (plan to) do for a living?

My plan right now is to finish High School and College (right now thinking about Marquette, Purdue, and Iowa State), get a degree in some sort of engineering, and get a job in the Midwest.

What are your goals in life?

My goals in life are to be happy with what I'm doing for work, (I don't want to just sit behind a desk all day...) and live in the place that I grew up and love living in, Minnesota. I want to get married and have two kids, each of whom WILL play sports. I just want to be happy with my life.

If you could go to one sporting event before you die, what would that be and why?

One? But I have so many...   I want to go to the World Cup to see a match involving Switzerland. I've loved soccer my entire life, but being able to see the Swiss in action (even if they lose, I could care less) would be the icing on the cake of an amazing event.

When did you first become a sports fan and what drew you in?

I don't know when I became a sports fan for sure, but I think it was probably the first time I saw the Timberwolves play. I instantly became obsessed with how good Kevin Garnett was and loved the Wolves.

What was/is your favorite subject in school and why?

I love Science. I'm good at science. Science is fun. Plus, I know that the way the world is right now, science is going to be one of the most useful things to learn and be able to excel at to get ahead in the world.

Who is your greatest sports idol?

Justin Morneau. If anyone ever saw me play baseball, I play exactly like he does. Same batting stance, same approach at the plate, same small intricacies on the basepaths...Plus, he handles himself so well, you rarely see him pissed off, you never see him throw stuff, he gives credit when it's due, like at the HR Derby...He's just one of the most respectable players in the game.

Who is your greatest non-sports idol?

I really don't have any idols outside the sports world...Biggest one is probably my band teacher, who even after twenty plus years of teaching band, still has an extremely great passion for music and the arts in general. He even is still playing gigs around town in his downtime...

What was the first live sporting event you attended?

Again...foggy memory here...but I believe it was a Twins game around the age of 4 or five...I love the Dome, but I sure as hell ain't gonna miss it...

What is your fondest sports memory?

Tough question...I'd have to go with winning our city championship for basketball...it may have been just a rec league, but we were playing against the best kids in our grade in our area. I think about 1/2 the league played on one of the three freshman teams...

What do you do in your free time away from FanNation?

I'm a normal teenage kid...I play sports, I hang out with friends, I learn how to drive...I'm leading a normal life...

What are your favorite teams and why?

You're looking at a total homer right here...Favorite teams are the Vikings, Twins, and Wild in no particular order...

What have you've learned since joining FN?

It actually IS impossible to argue with a brick wall, and some people will never back down no matter how wrong their opinions are and how closed-minded that individual is...

What would you like people to know about NMI?

We're just your basic average joes who have way too much time on their hands and decide to spend it on the internet debating sports. We like to have fun...we're just like any other FanNation member...

If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be and why.

Why the hell did we put this question on here? Anyway, it'd be my overuse of swears. It's a really f-cking bad habit and it's not gonna get me shitt in the world...

What is your biggest regret?

Not asking this one girl out once...next question...

If you could have done one thing differently in your time on FanNation, what would it be?

Probably blogged more often...Writing about sports is one of my favorite activities, and now that I got the opportunity to actually do it, I didn't take advantage of it...

Favorite movie?

I LOVE Monty Python and the Holy Grail...no matter how many times I watch that movie, it's still hilarious...Monty Python=Geniuses

Favorite band?

The Doobie Brothers without a doubt in my mind. I like old school music, and The Doobie Brothers just have a kind of sound that is really awesome.
