While I was at the Georgia vs Georgia Southern game yesterday, I began to wonder if the Falcons released D.J. Shockley. When I got home around 6 that night, I turned the tv to the news and saw the headline "Not Shock-ing" with a picture of Shockley. My first thought was that he was gone. It then went on to say the Falcons cut Joey Harrington. I was so happy I could have cried.

I HAVE NEVER LIKED JOEY HARRINGTON. He has been overrated ever since he played in the NFL, yet most people thought the Falcons should keep him.(reference to TD I made where I got beat because I said the Falcons should get rid of Harrington and my opponent said D.J. Shockley) He is not an NFL QB in my mind. He just makes stupid throws and just isn't what teams need. I mean, come on, he has a 26-50 record as a QB. No thanks.

I believe that the reason Shockley was not released was the drive he had in the Falcons vs Ravens game. He drove the team down the field, and ended it with a 20 yard touchdown pass to Brian Finneran. Shockley is a good QB, and I think he could come in to play for Atlanta if Matt Ryan struggles.

So, what's next for Joey Harrington? I predict that he will sign with a good NFL team and be the backup QB. If he wanted to be a coach, he could go to a college team and work his way up to a QB coach. Although I don't like Harrington, I wish him the best of luck wherever he goes.

I gotta agree with you man. Joey is a wasted pick. Detroit was right to can him. Atlanta was crazy to pick him up. I'd put Chris Simms and Tarvarias Jackson in with Joey. The only thing hes good for now is maybe mentoring young QBs. Maybe the Ravens can bring him in to help there young crowd.

you guys are all wrong, Joey IS a great quarterback, he just needs a real team to back him up. A good coach might be nice, maybe one that doesn't abandon his team for more money. And how about a decent receiver instead of some hack that needs stickum to catch a ball.
