It was great to see baseball highlights from the first Spring Trainings games being played yesterday. It brought a big smile to face and turned my offseason frown upside down.
Opening Day is just about a month away. And though it's not a national holiday as it should be, I will be taking that afternoon off to watch some baseball. My local team, the Dodgers, open the season on the road but I'll also be attending their home opener even though it's a week day and at 1pm. Myself and a coworker are thinking of taking a little lunch time run to the local New York pizza parlor today to see if we can catch the Yankee game. Their top pitching prospect, Philip Hughes, is also supposed to throw today. It'd be nice to catch some of that if possible.
