Lakers fans here are some options available on the market and my comments on how they would fit in with triangle and Kobe....
1. Anderson Varejao...He is close to signing with Cavs plus he is not potent big man we need, just a better version of Ronny Turiaf (until Turiaf can get more PT)
2. Mickael Pietrus...Also close to signing with his team and he is a SG/SF, a spot we dont have a need for...He is a great defender but not an option since we wld have to trade Bynum to get him
3. Chris Webber...An intriguing option because he is such a fine passer but as in the past I have said he is injury prone and not much of a clutch player
4. Andray Blatche....Um, no
5. Ruben Patterson...Another intriguing option but he is 6-5 and we already had him b4 he went to Seattle...He wld provide defense and doing the dirty work a lot of players dont like doing...But nah
6. Charlie Bell...Would have been a nice option b4 we signed Fisher and latest reports were Bucks wanted him after letting Boykins go without much of a fight
7. Sasha Pavlovic...No D and shooting, um no thanks....
8. Earl Boykins....Shoot first and pass second he is best suited as a 6th man for 25 minutes a night....He opted out of a 3 million contract and has found no takers....This year's DeShawn Stevenson who left Orlando 2 years ago to find very little offers out there
Let me know who you wld take Lakers fans....Personally I think if we stay HEALTHY we have a good nucleus with Fish, Kobe, Odom, and Walton and Mihm ....N Mo Evans, Farmar, Turiaf, Radmanovic, Cook and Bunum on the bench....
48-50 wins and a top 5 seed are possible
Let me know what u think and if there is someone else u think wld a helpful addition.....

I don't think we need frontcourt help so if i had to i would sign either varajao, blatche, or webber. But i wouldn't sign anyone of them because the roster is fine like this.........if i could i would trade both brown and cook for maybe a average big man like Sean May or if we could throw in a pick to get West out of New Orleans. then our roster would be set for next year.

Very solid choices. Also a very accurate assessment of the Laker's outlook this season. I have a question since you seem to be a very informed Laker fan: I've heard people opine that Bynum isn't likely to improve because he has poor work ethic and a bad attitude. Is there anything to that, or is just people mouthing off because he hasn't produced to his potential yet? If true, and he doesn't have great drive to improve, maybe the Lakers should package him in a deal to someone that is willing to trade proven players for speculative ones?

He's young, Aces, it's hard to say...At 1st I thought he cld be another Shaq.....Now u never know with youngster's but he did develop from his 1st to 2nd drastically.......
1- 7mpg, 1.6ppg and 1.7rpg, 0.5bpg
2- 21mpg, 7.8ppg, 5.9rpg, 1.8bpg, 1.1apg, 55% FG's
However, he cld be another Benoit Benjamin or Michael Olowakandi.....U just never know with young talent......And if it takes 5 or 6 years, u r wasting Kobe's "best" years.......That is why I woulda traded him AND Odom for Kidd.....Kidd may only have 4 more years but with him and Kobe, they wlda been contender's even in the West

F-Turiaf
F-Walton
C-Mihm
Bench-G Mo Evans, G Farmar, F Cook, F-C Radmanovic
Sign a couple bargain FA's to fill out the roster and I think they wlda been alright......
PS: I think Kobe can play into his mid 30's at a high level......There was an article on SI or ESPN.com recently talking abt 5 years from now, the All-NBA team.....I was a little surprised to see Kobe still listed, even though then he will be 33.....Thought they wld had sum1 replace him......

Wow, When I asked if you were of african desent I sure hit that one the perverbial head didn't I djroxalot. Does the fact that a lobby for the majority citizens really affect you that much that you have to spew negative comments? Would you not be interested in a lobby even if it were to make available to you that "big potent man that you need very bad"? Just a suggestion djroxalot: you might want to read your own blogs before you start criticizing others. In one of your blogs you write,"He is not the potent Big man that I need". Well, I guess that explains your presents in this web site and your interest in men's sports in general.. "he is not the Potent big man that I need".. Wow, wow, wow. I will not scare you any more with my writing djroxalot and I apoligize again for causing you to become so fearful of a majority lobby. I simply was not aware of the sensitivity and obvious fearful makeup of certain individuals such as you. Does that really scare you that much? Wow, wow, wow talk about insecure. As I mentioned , I will not enter into the forum discussions for the sake of your insecurities again. I sincerely apolige.

Or I might ask the forum director if I was out of line or if I allowed my blog to run too far afield from the specfied topic. I really didn't think that I was that far afield. At least not as far afield as the comment that you made in one of your blogs when You say ," He is not the Big Potent man that I am in need of". Now that is what I call getting abit off of the subject of sports, given that ,I am, not in error and this is a sports oriented forum site. Any way I will cease my frightful entries, I sincerely was not aware that an entry such as the one that you took exception to had the ability to cause such extreme fear in individuals such as yourself. In the future I will cease altogether or limit my entries to sites which I am confident do not contain individuals whos constitutions are as weak as yours. Again I apolige for my complete lack of forethought in addressing a target audience of unknown quality. Please forgive. But you must admit that when you write within one of your blogs," He is not the Potent Big man that I am in need of" that there could be a question mark on the part of the reader as to just what You were implying or what subcousciously you were having thoughts of . I don't think that even you with your delicate sensitivities would have a problem with questioning a quote that used language such as you used. If I were to be having thoughts of continuing my entries into this site I would be happily antisipating your critiquing my efforts. However , due to your delicate sensitivities , as I mentioned before , I will not be risking being the cause of your becoming frightened. Again please forgive. " Big Potent Man"?? Wow, Wow, Wow.

Why are you concerning yourself with free agents anyway? The Lakers are over the cap and out of mid level exception money (thanks to Fisher). The only options they have are re-signing their own free agents (Aaron McKie, Shammond Williams) or working a sign & trade. We all know the Lakers lack of desire to trade their "future" so enjoy what you have. It likely won't change.
