Former Steelers DE Kimo VonOelhoffen carries with him an unfair label as a dirty player among many fans in the NFL. Now, thanks in part to inflammatory and misleading description of DE Brett Keisel's hit on Redskins QB Jason Campbell, he will suffer the same label.
NOTE: The Washington Post has since put a correction on their web site, stating that Jason Campbell said he did not believe the hit was intentional. My blog has been noted, but I stand by my writing.

Is there more to that Post article? Because I see absolutely nothing in that quote that makes me think Keisel is a dirty player, and that description is similar to the one on ESPN.com and SI.com. There's a difference between an illegal hit in the heat-of-the-moment and a flat-out dirty hit, and I like to think that most fans (even Redskins fans) are savvy enough to realize that.
Also, comparing Van Oelhoffen to Haynesworth and Harrison is apples-to-oranges. I know some people do it, but that's more anti-Steeler sentiment than anything else, since it certainly isn't deserved.

Is it just me, or did that hit remind anybody of the Carson Palmer one in the playoffs a few years ago that shredded his knee? When I saw it that's what I immediately thought of.
