Michael Vick is sorry because he got caught, not because he is truly sorry. His apology was sickening, at one point he smirked and smiled. And like most troubled athlete's he played the religious angle and mentioned Jesus.

He will have plenty of time to think long and hard about what he did. I personally think he will get 2-3 years and serve 18 months. This judge is known for his hard line stance and is an animal lover.

And for those that think I hate Vick, I dont. He is a phenomenal athlete but not a very good QB; he has a 75 QB Rating; completes 53% of his passes and the Falcons averaged an NFL worst 148 yards per game last year. He is simply a RB masquerading as a QB.

So many Vick supporter's have not realized this is not new territory for Vick. It's a serious charge but he has a history of making poor choices.

   1. He have a woman an STD KNOWINGLY. He didnt use a comdom or tell her. Poor character.

   2. Early in his career his family chanted for Chris Chandler to get hurt so Vick could play.

   3. He may not have been found guilty but the incident with the water bottle smelling of weed was a poor choice.

   4. He flipped the bird at HOME fans, not road fans but HOME fans. The people that buy his jersey's and pay big $ to attend his game's.

   5. The current sickening charges.

Vick will not play in the NFL, Roger Goodell has made tough decision's regarding Pac-Man and Tank to show he is serious about players and their code of conduct.

He will make an example of Vick.

Good blog. I didn't know his family cheered for Chris C. to get hurt. That is sick, considering we only have one body for life.

I don't think the NFL Commissioner has to ban Vick for life. Simply stated, the court of public opinion will make it difficult for ANY team to pick him up. PETA and a number of other critics will lambast the decision to give him another chance. Now, do I think that's fair? No, I don't. America has forged a reputation on giving second chances to those who have made bad/tragic/stupid mistakes. Why should Michael Vick be any different? As a Black man, I don't believe this case is an issue of race, but stupidity. One need not be an animal lover to be disgusted regarding the treatment of the dogs in this case. The only person Mike Vick has to blame is himself. Just thought I'd give my two cents and change. And I've been known to engage in a spirited debate from time-to-time. Peace.

Die Hard Lakers fan.....

It's a history of poor choices, it isnt exactly like Vick is a choirboy and just got accused of dogfighting.....If it was Manning or Brady we wld all be shocked but are we really surprised it was Vick??? I wasnt all that surprised......
