I grew up in the South. We love college football. And we hate Notre Dame. The media love Notre Dame. They all wear Notre Dame Jerseys on casual Fridays. So when Charlie Weis is a real hard case about announcing his QB, the media is all atremble. They call him "arrogant" when they would rather use an unprintable word instead. And then, wonder of wonders, the mighty Irish (fighting monkeys , my 15 year old calls them, based on the ugly little leprechaun), go out and get absolutely pwned by an unranked Ga Tech team. Oh, it did my heart good. So good. Almost as good as Michigan losing to Appy State. Am I a h@ter? Yes, I am.
So, at any rate, look for free spin control from the adoring hacks in the Notre Dame national media corps (includes CNN/SI, Espn, NBC, Yahoo Sports) in the coming week, offering 435 reasons why Notre Dame lost, the game was a fluke, what Charile Weis ate for breakfast, etc. And speaking of Charlie, has there ever been a fatter and more unattractive man? What does this guy really have going for him? Does not seem to be coaching prowess.
