I have been a rabid, blind loyalist UGA fan since 1985. Before that, I was a rabid, blind loyalist Alabama fan. My daddy started listening to the Tide on the radio back in 1946 with his dad. I changed allegiance because I changed locations. I moved to Atlanta in 1984, and after attending several UGA games with my close friend Poke, I was hooked on UGA football. So I have seen some years when I have suffered tremendous anguish at the hands of Ball Coach Spurrier. Once, in a fit of rage after having a cocktail party snatched from our hands by an overridden touchdown, I punched a hole in a closet door. (I have since been placed on 300mg. /day of Effexor, thank you very much). I have never hated anyone in football more than BC Spurrier. His vitriol just makes me want to kick him full on in the groin.
Now, he is at South Carolina. Since he has proven himself unable to snare star recruits at SC, he has taken to bad mouthing his team. Ultimately, if they are a bunch of "average stiffs", who is responsible? I thought the head ball coach had to sign the players. Is he admitting he has failed as a recruiter? Kinda like he failed in the NFL? And, where is the big dropoff at the University of Florida since he left? If you excuse the poor performance of Ron Zook (who had gracious plenty talent to work with at UF), Hasn't Urban Meyer kinda made a case that maybe it ain't 100% ball coaching that drives the success of the football program at UF? Of course, Ball Coach Spurrier seems to kinda have proven that. He ain't done jack since he left Florida. Go check the stats of SC since he took over. Check the winning percentage. BCS once said, "I don't care what they call us. At least they aren't calling us losers." Well, maybe it is time to change that. Maybe South Carolina needs to hold Bally's feet to the fire. Is he coasting into retirement, or does he still care about winning? This classless, hateful old man needs to put up or shut up.

Maybe the OLD Ball coach is having trouble making up his mind about his future direction. I'll bet another shutout by the GA D would help him make a decision,

Spurrier never beat UGA as a player. I always bask in that little tid-bit.
