Senior wideout Andre "Bubba" Caldwell will miss Saturday's game against Tennessee after suffering a knee injury against Troy, the Gainesville Sun is reporting.
Caldwell sprained his medial collateral ligament on the first play of the second half on Saturday. The Sun also reported he may miss the next two games.
Kick returner Brandon James, who suffered a sprained ankle against Troy, is expected to play against the Volunteers, according to the Sun.
The impact of Caldwell's injury is hard to quantify. Senior leadership is helpful in big games, but the Gators are deep at wideout, with several talented players capable of big plays. Getting James back would be more critical, as he is an outstanding kick returner and home run threat every time he gets the ball.
