Disclaimer: I take no responsibility for prematurely celebrating the failure of my own team, and am in now way liable for discrimination if in fact the Cardinals come back and win the division. Now...

I'd like to address all Cardinal fans out there and/or 2007 St. Louis believers:

IN YOUR FACES!!!! HAHAHAHA!!!!

Over the course of the past few weeks, in light of the Cardinals' hot streak, I, and I presume the rest of you as well, have seen many people declare that the Cardinals "have what it takes!" and that it's "only a matter of time!" before they surpass the faltering Cubs and Brewers and resume their Rightful God-Given seat at the top of the NL Central. Surely, with Albert Pujols heating up, the rest of the lineup would follow suit. Surely, with seemingly all bizarre distractions gone, St. Louis can finally focus on winning again. Surely, with Dave Duncan monitering the suddenly-brilliant pitching staff, nothing could go wrong. WRONG!

And I so told you all that. Over and over and over. To many of FanNation, who argued with me. And to my friends, who refused to listen. And to my family, who spurned me. I stated it a thousand times: the Cardinal pitching staff had hit an incredibly lucky hot streak, and it was only a matter of time before a staff of Adam Wainwright, Braden Looper, Joel Pineiro, Anthony Reyes, and Kip Wells reverted back to their previous sub-subpar status. No way could the Cardinals keep winning, even IF the weak lineup could continue smashing balls around like they were a couple weeks ago. No way would Braden Looper (converted set up man) be able to endure an 162 games of starting in the rotation without his arm falling off at the end of the season. No way were Joel Pineiro's first three stellar starts for the Cards legit. He has been worse and worse and worse each year since a strong 2003 season. The Cubs were struggling mightily, but hey, they were injured! With all of their starters coming back soon, no way would they continue to lose ground to the Cardinals. And guess what?

I was right. About each and every prediction. The Cardinals are slipping down a perilously slippery slope; meanwhile, the Cubs and the Brewers are winning and pulling away from the Cardinals, who are 4 games back. Bow to me.

God I own. Move over Dr. Z, because I am the new Godfather of Predictions.

Woot woot.

P.S.- I also called the Brewers and the Indians at the beginning of the year. Ugh!

Bow to you? Bow to YOU? Boy, you dont know what you speak of. Prepare to meet your maker. I am the morning, day, and night of FanNation. I'm only gonna say this once. Listen my friend. Ignore those murmurs from below. It's just a monster within your head. I AM MAC. I am forever! Can you dig that? Can you taste that? Can you smell that? In fact...CAN YOU SMELLLLLLAAAAAAA....WHAT THE MAC...IS...COOKIN?!?!

Ok, that was lame. I know. Dont blame me, I listen to too much Pink Floyd. They mess with my head. Damn, huge acid trip. Whoa, there goes Barney.

well, Dr Z sucks, so you might already be the godfather of predictions, and i like the little disclaimer, i should start using those

disclaimer: I will probably say something that offends you, or someone you know

September 11, 2007  01:26 AM ET

Yeah, I saw the disclaimer on your new blog. I got angry. But now I see this. And it is justified. The Godfather of Predictions is pleased.

True, I knew right from the Ankiel situation emerged we would go down the pipes. Our team morale is HORRIBLE right now. Haven't you noticed Ankiel has been horrible after the leaking? Strange, huh?
