Will Hill, the top-rated athlete prospect in the country according to Rivals.com, verbally committed to Florida on Thursday night on ESPN. Hill, a 6'3" 203-pound star two-way player for St. Peter's Prep in Jersey City, N.J., said he wants to play safety for the Gators.
Hill selected Florida over Southern Cal, after visiting Gainesville last weekend for the Tennessee game. He is the eight verbal commitment for the Florida 2008 recruiting class, which includes four top-rated defensive backs.
Earlier this week, Orlando (Fla.) Boone cornerback Jeremy Brown announced his intention to sign with the Gators. Brown is rated the 16th-best cornerback in the country by Rivals.com.
