Tim Tebow, Florida's do-everything quarterback, was named the SEC Player fo the Week for his all-purpose prowess against Ole Miss. Tebow accounted for 427 yards of total offense, including a school record 166 rushing yards by a quarterback, in Florida's 30-24 win.

He also had career-highs in completions (20), attempts (34) and rushing attempts (27). He threw for 261 yards and two touchdowns. The 427 total offensive yards is best in the SEC this season. For the season, Tebow leads the SEC in passing efficiency, is sixth in rushing yards and leads the SEC in rushing touchdowns (7).
