One of the best ways to determine how good a team is is to look at how many more points they score than they allow. Lets take a look below together shall we. Example: The Ravens are a (3) because they have scored 66 and allowed 63, a positive 3 point differential. Teams are listed in order of best to worst. Notice how awful the AFC West is, with no teams who have scored more than opponents. Ouch. Okay, here it is:
1) Patriots(79)
2) Steelers(71)
3) Cowboys(51)
4) Colts(39)
5) Packers(32)
6) *Texans(24)
*Tampa(24)
*Eagles(24)
7) Titans(18)
8) Lions (17)
9) Vikings(15)
10) Seahawks(14)
11) Jaguars(12)
12) Panthers(8)
13) Redskins(4)
14) Ravens(3)
15) Bengals(-2)
16) Cardinals(-3)
17)Broncos(-5)
18)Raiders(-16)
19)49ers(-17)
20)Chargers(-20)
21)*Dolphins(-23)
*Browns(-23)
22)Chiefs(-24)
23)*Bears(-25)
*Giants(-25)
24)Jets(-28)
25)Falcons(-34)

From #15 and on most of the teams don't have winning records. The Broncos and 49ers are the only one's that somehow are 2-1 with a negative point differential.
Good blog, it plainly shows where teams stand right now.

LOL, the Eagles probably only have a +24 due to their beat down of the Lions.

Very nice work. The only thing I disagree with is that I don't think Tampa is a better team than the Titans. But this is very barometer of a team.

cassidy , you are trying to come up with something good . But this doesn't always work at the beginning . Because you can be playing either all bad team at the beginning or all good team

Hate to nitpick, but the Titans are ninth, not seventh, if there are three teams tied for sixth in front of them. If you adjust the numbering correctly, that will put the Saints in at #32, where (unfortunately for them) they belong on this list.
