After reading all I can about this "rematch of Super Bowl XL", it seems to me that NFL fans want the Seahawks to come in to Heinz field with revenge on their minds. But from the news and the quotes of the Seahawks that I am seeing, coach Mike Holmgren appears to have stifled that mentality, or at least kept a lid on it. And I am glad for it. We fans need to grumble (and I do) about the loss in Detroit a year-and-a-half ago, but it will do nothing but aggravate them if they are going in there with thoughts of vengence. The Seahawks need only remember how good they are THIS YEAR, and go about their business while the Steelers try to stop them.
The matchups appear to be fairly even on both sides of the ball, yet most of the talking heads on the television machine are picking the Steelers because of their recent record against NFC teams at home. Well, those kinds of records are just begging to be broken. Especially by a team that is (thankfully) underrated, and flying under the radar. Partially because of their perrenial offensive power, and partially because of their suddenly daunting defense, and mostly because of the comfort level of the Steelers at home, I think the Seahawks will win this one. First of all, the Steelers will be surprised at how effective our defense is, in spite of all the film study. Second, remember that the Seahawks gained more total yardage and allowed fewer yards (redundant?) than did the Steelers on 02/05/05.
My prediction is that it will be a game in which the lead will change several times, until the 4th quarter, when Roethlisberger will be intercepted by Marcus Trufant, leading to a game-winning field goal with seconds to spare. If I am wrong, then it will be a game-winning touchdown. At the end of regulation, the 'Hawks will again have outgained Pittsburg while holding them to the fewest yards yet this year.
Final Score: Seahawks 31, Steelers 28

I wonder, does this gain any ground at all toward allowing 'Hawks fans to finally except that the better team beat them in XL?
