You decide how to train him, how long to hold out for a better contract, what country you want to play in (this is international basketball with 7 levels per country...and can bet a portion of your salary on any game among many others such as owning your own team/stadium size/ticket prices...)
Don't feel like starting from scratch? Once you create a new player you can then have the option of buying an already established player.
