Rating the watchability of Week 7's games while wondering how Antwaan Randle El's head is still one with his body.

ONLY IF YOUR OTHER OPTION IS YARDWORK

14. New England (6-0) at Miami (0-6) 1 p.m. -- Over/under on number of times CBS announcers Greg Gumbel and Dan Dierdorf mention the Patriots, perfect season, champagne and Nick Buoniconti in the same sentence? We're setting the line at 3.5 and taking the under -- but only because Dierdorf can't pronounce Buoniconti.

13. St. Louis (0-6) at Seattle (3-3) 4 p.m. -- The NFC West is the worst division in football. To steal a line from a commenter, the only way we'll see a second of this game is if we accidentally sit on the remote.

12. N.Y. Jets (1-5) at Cincinnati (1-4) 4 p.m. -- A seven-game losing streak between these two teams. Nobody's a winner here.

11. Atlanta (1-5) at New Orleans (1-4) 1 p.m. -- Both these teams have something to keep hope alive (Falcons: new QB; Saints: first win last week), but we'll still pass.
IT AIN'T GONNA BE EPIC, BUT HEY, IT'S FOOTBALL

10. Chicago (2-4) at Philadelphia (2-3) 4 p.m. -- The mediocrity begins with two teams trying to crawl out of the cellar of their respective divisions. Hey Akers and Rocca, you may want to avoid kicking to this guy.

9. Baltimore (4-2) at Buffalo (1-4) 1 p.m. -- The Bills are a lot feistier than their record indicates and the Ravens are a lot crappier than their record indicates. Long way of saying a pretty even matchup.

8. San Francisco (2-3) at N.Y. Giants (4-2) 1 p.m. -- Since we were harsh with Eli Manning already this week, we'll make it up to Giants fans by acknowledging his rapport with Plaxico Burress is one of the most exciting among QB-WR tandems in the league.

7. Kansas City (3-3) at Oakland (2-3) 4 p.m. -- The Chiefs and the Raiders could be a combined 0-12 and we'd still watch this AFL throwback battle. Also, apropros of nothing, two of the three best uniforms in football are in this game.

6. Arizona (3-3) at Washington (3-2) 1 p.m. -- The Redskins need to win to keep pace with the Cowboys and Giants in the NFC East, while the Cardinals try to continue to weather the flurry of QB injuries.

5. Tennessee (3-2) at Houston (3-3) 1 p.m. -- Speaking of QB injuries, the Titans cannot afford to play many games without Vince Young, especially against a division opponent.

4. Pittsburgh (4-1) at Denver (2-3) 8 p.m. -- As bad as the Broncos have been through six weeks, a win here keeps them in the thick of AFC West race. It won't be easy, though, against a well-rested Steelers team trying to prove it belongs in the mix of elite AFC teams.
SUPERGLUE YOURSELF TO THE COUCH

3. Tampa Bay (4-2) at Detroit (3-2) 1 p.m.
-- Which Lions offense will show up: the one that torched the Bears for 37 points or the one that could only muster a FG against the Redskins? The Bucs, meanwhile, continue to chug along, relying on a great defense and an efficient offense that doesn't turn the ball over.

2. Minnesota (2-3) at Dallas (5-1) 4 p.m. -- There's only one reason this game is here: Adrian Peterson. The man defines excitement. What will be interesting is seeing how, and really if, defenses game plan for AP now that his secret is out. The Cowboys' 3-4 defense has above-average speed at both outside LB spots which may prevent Peterson from bouncing to the outside and ripping off long runs. That'll be the plan, anyway.

1. Indianapolis (5-0) at Jacksonville (4-1) M8:30 p.m. -- Will this be Indy's first loss? Fresh off last season's 44-17 Dec. 10 beatdown of the eventual Super Bowl champs, the Jags know what it takes to beat the Colts. Maurice Jones-Drew seems to have regained form after a sluggish start and their defense has put Week 1's debacle to the Titans behind them. But the Colts are fresh off a bye and should be getting Joe Addai and Marvin Harrison back. It all adds up to a goldmine of a game for MNF, one you can see us live blog right here.

Jags - 34 Colts - 27 on monday night. watch for the Jags all black unis, they're sweet.

October 18, 2007  12:49 PM ET

Good blog again Dom ! On Dierdorf, have you ever noticed when he does a game he alway's has to say " text book" at least twice during the game.
" That was a text book sack " or "That was a text book screen pass" it drives me crazy.

October 18, 2007  12:57 PM ET

Jagator -- I do enjoy the Jags in all black. Don't always love it -- Louisville and San Diego State come to mind -- but Jacksonville wears the Johnny Cash look well.

Harry -- Solid observation. Some might even call it a textbook comment.

Jags gonna get their worse beating of this season. Colts are much better team in all departments compare to last year. Cots 34, Jags 17

October 18, 2007  01:14 PM ET

Two weeks in a row (not including bye week) that The Bills are at least mildly watchable, now this is a streak i can get used to!

Besides, i'm thinking McGahee plays scared vs the Bills, wondering which women in the stands he has a kid with....

October 18, 2007  02:04 PM ET

Colts dominate the Jags just to prove a point, its still gonna be one hell of a game.

October 18, 2007  02:16 PM ET

You are sooo right dude about the CHAMPAGNE POPPING and the 72 Dolphins... OKAY we get it! Chris Berman beats that to death too... every single year anytime someone is better than 3 - 0. Once they lose, they say, "I can hear the champagne cork popping already as the '72 Dolphins toast... blah blah blah"... how repeatedly unoriginal can that statement get? The Pats are awesome, they've been awesome and probably will continue to be awesome for a few more years, but as a huge Pats fan, even I am getting sick of the expectations of a perfect year. www.stenztv.com

Oh_god: The Bills won me, and the rest of America, over with that MNF game. And I really like Trent Edwards -- nothing against Losman, but TE just has more spunk.

Stenz: You better hope the Pats lose soon because that's all we'll hear about until they do.

October 18, 2007  05:46 PM ET

DENVER WILL WIN!!! BRONCOS BABY!!! Thats a superglue yourself to the couch game...for sure. Come on now!

October 18, 2007  06:17 PM ET

Mr Bonvissuto
I'm very glad we won the rest of America over, now it's just us fans who are stuck rooting for them every week that needs to be won over. haha.

In all fairness, the team we like (even more when Paul P, Ko Simpson, and the rest were healthy), its the coaching staff that has us grinding our teeth. Its umbearable the cowerdice (save for Bobby April) that the coaching staff shows week in and week out with their playcalling.

Otherwise, so far so good with the young guys.

October 18, 2007  08:18 PM ET

I see Adrian Peterson torching Dallas the same way he torched the Bears...and boy, would THAT make me happy!!!
(Oh, yeah: Skins beat Arizona...even if the Cardinals dig up Y.A. TITTLE, or some old relic from the "golden age"!!!)
What a weekend...

October 18, 2007  08:36 PM ET

Call me crazy, but I think Miami's gonna' play the Pats tough. Next year's roster is up in the air, and the 'phins players know it.

October 19, 2007  01:00 AM ET

I see the Broncos giving up 150+ yards on the ground. Willie is on fire this year

October 19, 2007  01:00 AM ET

not to mention the broncos are the worst run defense in the NFL

October 19, 2007  01:01 AM ET

and the dolphins are a lock to get owned. completely. the pats are too solid, and i think brady might be mvp this year

October 19, 2007  11:08 AM ET

Never thought I would see another bills fan here!!! well at least one that admits to it....now I don't feel so alone!

I see this Lossman / Edwards thing as a repeat of the R. Johnson/ Flutie scandal and we all know last time we ended up with the wrong QB. Lossman has just not gotten it done, It's TE turn now, lets see what he can do.. Lossman is an excelent BACKUP...

Go BILLS!!!

October 19, 2007  12:43 PM ET

Make fun of me if you like, but I think the Dolphins/Patriots game is worth watching; well, for a quarter at least. Who knows what can happen - thats why you play the games. If things look ugly, just go ahead and change the channel.

October 19, 2007  01:07 PM ET

Curly -- Interesting observation about Miami, I think you're right -- they will surprise somebody this season, but to do it against the Pats is asking too much.

Oh_God and Evillegas -- I think the Bills play-calling has been a bit conservative because of all the young players. They're trying to ease them in, without too much information overload. The Titans did the same thing last year ... and it's worked out fairly well.

October 19, 2007  02:15 PM ET

It seems like once the players get on the field they do not care anymore. What do they have to play for, they already make the Big$$. With the exception of the Pats, other teams players get on the field and look like they just give up.

October 19, 2007  03:15 PM ET

manning remembers the last game, don't think that will happen again. bob will be playing and looking to pop the little guy real good. Garrard gets picked this game because we are gonna come out and put some points up real fast. everyone is about to see just how much better the colts and patriots are than everyone else.
