Been doin a lot of thinking lately..., if the Yanks want to make it back to the World Series..., I think they should be split up, with a few exceptions. First off..., bye bye A-Rod and his $25 million per year; it was a fun ride but it's over! Jeter stays..., he's the undisputed backbone of this team..., they live and die with this guy! Rivera, Posada, Matsui and Cano shouldn't be dropped but, I say that they deal Damon for some good young pitching prospects..., the shine of this guy coming over from the Sox is gone..., it's time to move on. They gotta start developing good, solid arms..., Hughes is an example of that. Say so long to Pavano, Clemens and Pettite..., Mussina too and bring in a Dontrelle or, someone of that caliber! Winning the World Series, to me at least, is all about the pitching staff and timely hits..., look at Cleveland and Colorado? If it wasn't for CC in Cleveland and Holliday in Colorado...? They weren't even considered bona fide contenders before the season! I actually picked Colorado to finish behind San Francisco in the West! Point is..., the Yankees need to start rebuilding in order to get to the land they own..., #27 could be a couple of years away but, at least they won't be bogged down by overpriced and overaged pitchers. And if all those Yankee fans out there don't like this just remember..., it's only one fans opinion!
