Welcome to Entry #2 to You Know What Really Grinds My Gears (YKWRGMG).

You know what really grinds my gears?

#1.  The "washed up" tag line.  Vinny T, Drew Bledsoe, and for the last few years, including this year, Brett Favre.  4 +300 yard games...10 wins out of 11 going back to last year, recordholder of the most TD thrown by a QB.

Sal Palantonio called Favre "the 2nd most overrated QB in the NFL" (I assume pertaining to this year).  For the last week Favre's endured questions of whether he can still throw it deep.  Again, #4 let his performance speak for himself.  There is no doubt that despite a player's age, they are still fully capable of managing and running an efficient & effective team to success.

#2.  The "Are the Patriots driving up the score" questions.  Of course they are...Do I have a problem with it?  ABSOLUTELY NOT.  As Tom Hanks memorialized the saying, "They're no crying in baseball!".  THERE IS NO CRYING IN FOOTBALL!!!!  Opponents should be thanking their lucky stars that the Patriots are still playing in the 2nd half instead of taking knees each play.  You want to win?  Let the Patriots continue putting their players in harm's way.  Start hitting them and injuring them til The Hooded One takes them out or starts taking knees.  Let's face it people, unless they start losing players to injury, the only team likely to stop the steamroller that is the Patriots is Indy at home next week.

#3.  Going back to the "washed up" tagline, I have no problem when its applied to actors and this week's "Washed Up Actor" is Vince Vaughn.  I never have liked Vince or his movies but last night on MNF, the interview was atrocious.  I compare the interview with a 14 year old boy whose with a girl he likes but is too afraid to break the ice...the awkward silence of a good portion of the interview.  But going back to Vince, its apparent that Vince didn't get the memo from Tim Allen about Christmas comedies...they don't work.  Between your **** stamp movies w/ washup & suicidal Owen Wilson and your semi-serious comedies w/ Jennifer Aniston, let's face it, your comedy stinks.  The only good comedy you were in was "Old School" and you definately did not carry that movie to success.  I realize my brand of comedy may not be yours, but when all said & done, Vince is a B star actor in 2 star comedies whose smashing box offices successes will not include "Fred Clause".

Shoutout to Cassidy - My 1 dimensional team beat the team you said we couldn't despite the "b/c my team couldn't, your team definately can't" argument.  Further proof that a pigskin in #4's hands still means magic.  And speaking of #4, I'm pretty sure Deanna Favre has about 5 minutes more facetime on ESPN than Denver had in time of possession.

AND THAT, is what really grinds my gears.

Nice blog!

RE #1: Favre is amazing. Dang it.

RE #2: Amen. I couldn't have said it better myself.

RE #3: For the record, I really enjoyed the movie Dodgeball... ;)
