I am old enough to remember the commercial's Boomer Esiason did for cystic fibrosis with this adorable blond little baby boy back in the day.

They made me tear up and get emotional because u can tell how much Boomer loves him.

Now, Gunnar Esiason, all of 6-2 and 150 pounds, has made his HS team as a backup QB. And can share with his dad the thrill of throwing a touchdown pass.

Just making the team with such a disease is amazing enough but to actually play and succeed in some small part is an incredible achievement.

But in the end he faces an uphill battle as the average age of a cystic fibrosis patient is 37 years old.....Take success where u can and enjoy life, Gunnar.....Life is way too precious and short.....

That is awesome. I remember those commercials too. Dan Marino had one also, but I can't remember what his kid has. They are lucky to have the money to assure the best care. Go Gunnar!
