As I'm very disappointed while I watch the K-state football game this weekend, I only think to not even 24 hours ago and I get cheered up.  Our basketball team this year is GOOD and I don't think I could be any more excited.  When I was watching the basketball game last night I was wondering how many rebounds Michael Beasley actually had.  It seemed as if every time I turned around he was getting a rebound, and he was.  Breaking a Big 12 record of 23 by getting 24 rebounds he was a beast.  Anything that came his way it was his, it was also his if it didn't come his way.  I remember a play that he shot a free throw and two seconds later he scored two more points by going around the defenders for his rebound and putting it right back up.  I will admit when I heard he was coming here, at first I was doubtful, but now I am a true believer.  Michael Beasley is one of the best freshmen playing the game.  Now to actually talk about the game... Sure we put up over 90 points, but that was against Sacramento State.  We are a very fast team and we love to play fast ball.   But sometimes it bites us.  We can't afford to turn the ball over 26 times a game.  We will lose any close game if we do that.  I do not expect us to come close to turning it over near that much half way into the season.  Our senior point guard is soon to return and that will drastically reduce the turnovers.  Add that along with some experience to Jacob Pullen and the turnovers will be close to cut in half if not less.  Now for the other end of that, we were able to force 32 turnovers, that is saying something.  We are a very fast team and teams don't realize it. Even Sacramentos coach said we are deceptively fast.  Another good thing is to see that more than Michael Beasley can score.  Jacob Pullen had 18 and Blake Young also contributed with 22.  That is to add to Beasley's 32.  We were able to end up winning 94-63. That is without like I already said Clent Stewart, but also return leading scorer David Hoskins and highly talented Bill Walker.  Stewart and Walker are expected to return very soon, but Hoskins will be out for a while.  If we could get everyone back and healthy I think this team will surprise many people at just how good they are.

Almost getting beat by Pittsburg State is hardly putting up numbers sir. You guys should do pretty well in the NIT this year, but have fun watching KU dominate where it really matters!
