We had our first bad game tonight, and if you would have asked me how it was going to turn out at the beginning of the game I would have said "We're gonna lose to a D-2 school". I was no where even close to being pleased with how my wildcat team played tonight. But it was able to show me one thing. In the end the key players will step up to make plays. For this game, it was well of course the freshman Michael Beasley and the senior Clent Stewart. It wasn't till about 3 minutes left in the game till I was sure that we were going to win. We shot horrible, rebounded horrible, passed horrible, and even dribbled horrible. This was a game we will want to forget, even though it was a win it was a very ugly win. I still keep hoping that injuries will just quit, but for some reason they just keep on coming. Bill walker played most of the first half but went to the locker room early with ice on his CALF (not another acl injury...). In the second half he returned and tried to check himself back in, but coach Frank Martin told him to sit down. David Hoskins is still a mistery of when he will return, claiming something in his knee popped during practice Thursday. I have now watched my third game of these wildcats and I am still very excited, but if we play any team that is better than Pitt State we will lose if we play the same way we did tonight. However I expect Martin to get things straightened up. It is still going to be one heck of a season and I can't wait till this Saturday night when I get to see them play again.
