It is rivalry time, and time for my last Big Ten predictions before we send our teams bowling.
Iowa vs West Michigan
Iowa has found a groove, but it doesn't mean they won't struggle a little with this matchup. In the end the Hawkeyes will get 7 wins, and assure a bowl place.
Iowa 27
W.Mich 19
Penn St. vs Michigan St.
Fresh off of a big win over Temple, and their closer Purdue win, Penn St. controls the game. Michigan St. goes .500 and wonders about their future.
Penn St. 34
Mich St. 23
Wisconsin vs Minnesota
After the Badger's win, it isn't to hard to think Wisconsin might slouch at first, and let a decent Minnesota offense stay in the hunt, but Wisconsin will win.
Wis 38
Minn 31
Illinois vs Northwestern
This matchup will likely be much closer than many expect. Illinois help restore my faith in the Big Eleven, proving Ohio St. isn't the end-all-be-all of the conference. The Wildcats just made IU sweat a bowl spot, and are anxious to solidify a spot for themselves. This will be a fun game to watch.
Ill 42
NW 40
Indiana vs Purdue
This might be my favorite Big Ten rivalry, and I expect this one to be quite the battle. IU needs this win to fufill Hep's dream of 13, and Purdue is looking for a decent bowl. Purdue knows how to deny IU a bowl berth, having done it last year. Two very different QB's and mediocre defenses should make for the most interesting game. This is the one I will be watching.
Purdue 35
Indiana 33
Ohio St. Michigan
This game really lost some luster, eh. All the same, the winner is crowned Big Ten Champion, the loser heads to some other bowl. This game will not be all that interesting. Ohio St. is out to pound Michigan, and Tressell will do his job. Carr gets the axe, but whether we find out before or after the Wolverine's bowl game is the question.
