Are you as tired as me of seeing too many NASCAR races that look the same ... after all to the casual viewer what's the difference between Michigan and California tracks ... and don't Atlanta, Charlotte, Texas, and Las Vegas all look alike ... and what's with 2 races at Pocono only 7 weeks apart and why does New Hampshire have 2 dates and Darlington only 1. Well, I have a proposed solution that could peak interest again. If I scheduled NASCAR I'd lose the 2nd dates at Atlanta, New Hampshire and either Michigan or California, and replace them with road courses at Mexico City and Montreal and then I'd give Darlington its 2nd date back and finish the season there. Here's my proposed schedule with my changes highlighted.

Intriguing, but...I don't know anyone who goes along with this.
If it were ME, I'd lose one Martinsville race, and replace it with a short track (WHOEVER wants to build one; better STILL, log on to www.shenandoahspeedway.com and get in touch with the people there--it's only 20 minutes from my place, and I went to school with the owner. I DID, really!!!)
Hey, I figured I'd throw him a bone and plug his place...

--First Bristol race too early in the season. Bad weather could be a factor there. (More so than where it's at on the schedule now).
--While Darlington is a fine track, it shouldn't host the final race of the year.
--We don't need to have a Cup race in Montreal or Mexico City.
--California only needs 1 race.
--Pocono doesn't need 2 races either. Put one of them in St. Louis.
--Put one of the Chase races at one of the road courses to have a more well rounded Chase.
