I am on my own quest for the Celtics to pronounce their name w/a hard "C" as the Irish Celts do and not the soft "C" as the British would pronounce it. I just have a problem w/it personally. It's an Irish thing. Don't know how that ever got past the Irish in the first place. So, I'd like it changed to a hard "C".
I think we're coming into a team like the era of Larry Byrd and Kevin McHale.
I just tried to buy tickets to the Celtics vs. the Lakers here in Los Angeles and they're completely sold out! No seats available at all! Couldn't believe it. The Celtics at home have to start getting all their seats filled.

No. Pronouncing it with a hard C is wrong. The soccer team Celtic FC pronounces it with a soft C. The Irish Catholics pronounce it with a soft C.

It's Larry Bird here, not Byrd.

Red Auerbach pronounced it "seltic". It must be right.

So you prefer ancient Greek/Latin to Medieval Latin? The hard C is dominant in most other areas except sports. Good luck!
