First off I would like to express my sympathy to Sean Taylor's family, the Washington Redskins, and the NFL on this tragic loss of life. I know he wasn't perfect, nor was he a HOFer by anybody's standards. But he was beginning to mature and he was a Pro Bowl talent. And it seems fitting to give him that small piece of recognition. Now for some happier notes...I achieved my first throwdown victory (http://www.fannation.com/throwdowns/show/80638) for those that don't believe haha. I congratulate LarryFitzfan on a great clean throwdown, and I am very happy I got the win because I feel I could have at least two more victories. For example BSchwartz and I got into a throwdown about who was leaving first (coach) in the NCAA. (http://www.fannation.com/throwdowns/show/73583). I picked Callahan and he picked Weis. Well he won the throwdown, but I was right because Callahan left first. It was the funnest td i was ever in, because he was such a great sport about it, and we poked fun at it for weeks. The second victory I thought I had was against Phillyman about who should have won the NL 2nd baseman Gold Glove. (http://www.fannation.com/throwdowns/show/76060). And I was leading pretty comfortably by about 7 or 8 votes with about 15 hours remaining. But like the great and respected throwdowner he is, he was able to get the votes with a convincing argument. And it ended in a tie. So I am very glad I finally won one, and this is very good. 1-5-1 is better than 0-5-1 dont you think? Now for the reason I am a Sooner/PITT fan this week is simple. If OU beats Mizzou, or PITT beats WVA, then OSU makes the title game. The Illini move into the Rose Bowl, and then every Big Ten team jumps a spot. Meaning Wisc. to the Capital One Bowl and PSU moving from the Alamo to sunny Tampa for the Outback Bowl!!!! WE ARE....PENN STATE!!!
