After watching the Giants sputter in the Red Zone more times than I wish to envison, I feel strongly that the G-Men need an offensive consultant.

Let's look at the remaining free agent coaches and free agent coaches to be.  I don't care if Jim Fassel comes back to send Shockey out wide with a better scheme.  Whatever yields the Giants results is what I say.

Starting with dumb possible firings, Brian Billick may or may not be on the heat seat in Baltimore.  If so and ultimately fired, I would love for the Giants to hire him in either a head coach or offensive co-ordinator role.  I have alot of respect for the coach who beat us in a Superbowl on defense.  Billick made the most he could offensively with the players he had.

''I want to develop a team that is explosive,'' Billick said. ''We want an offense that doesn't put a good defense on a short field. We will use a lot of multiple formations and groupings. We can't line up and shove the ball; we're not that good. We will use superior numbers and angles.''

Assuming John Fox was available, the Giants would still require an offensive coach.  Based on the Giants recent offensive struggles, here's what could possiblly lie ahead if changes were to be made (I do like Dan Synder's model of hiring specialized coaches)

Chris Palmer (currently under contract w. the Giants)

College Coach

Another team's assistant or even head coach.

Who knew Jason Garrett would push all the right buttons?  He does have the personnel.

What's up with the lack of communication between Eli and his WR's?  Nice adjustments at half though, with the

Giants SECOND win over the Eagles.

Eagles: (N, VERB, ADJECTIVE)  a desperate, pitiful, bland, dissentary, despicable putrid american football team called the Eagles whom hail from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, mangaged to shard all over themselves now and hopefully until enternity.

Merriam-Webster describes the Philadelphia Eagles as such:

(n):  So, your a fan of the Shards?

(verb)  Monty, you've eagled yourself.

(adj)   Monty, eagle times this seaon, you've dirty birded yourself

Gone is McNabb.  Those birds s*** all over themselves for the last time.  This week's embarrassment wasn't as bad as the first time, but what have the Eagles ever won beside an NFC title game?

I am a huge Giants fans and I dislike the Eagles the most out of any team, but I would take Westbrook over ANY RB the Giants have ever had.  Philly fans have to know that he is the best the've ever had.  Better than Hampton and Tiki.

That's why his fumble against the Giants was so huge.

Anyway, maybe Andy Reid will join him?  That would be a great hire sans the family drug lair.

Why not hire George Seifert?  Holmgren if he steps down.  A great college coach?

Joe Paterno?

Assuming, Coughlin stays on and now because of the Giants away record and the play-off road game to come, he has to be flexible and open to improvement.  He has given up alot and I believe he is able to give up some more control for wins.  It's not a bad idea for him to give up the reins so long as he trusts it to someone worthy.

Anyways, let's get Eli back on the play-action and/or hurry-up and keep hitting Armani and Plax.  Let's get Shockey involved.

I miss Ryan Grant as I eluded to early in my Blog Career.

It's terrible how when the Giants win, we hear less about it than when they lose.  I love my home state (and Vermont, Hawaii, Ocean City MD, Florida, California, P.R., and Amsterdam) but let's show show some R-E-S-P-E-C-T to the Giants and their current record of 9-4.  I mean players, viewers, coaches, wives, network executives, analysts, trophy wives, chihuhuas, iguanas (pollo de medarira) and black-footed ferrets.

If the Giants are somehow able to sweep the Redskins like they did Philadelphia, it would somehow ease the pain of losing to the Cowboys (the best team in the NFC East, Dallas is considered EAST? only b/c the NFL wants to pocket mucho dinero por Los Cowboys
