I was watching a sports network earlier, probably hoping to see one of my heroes growing up on the Mitchell report (Yeah..., the Rocket was there) and I got to tell you..., I wasn't overly stunned by the names. I am sure other bloggers on this site will write about this so, I'll be short. I don't care anymore! This is gotten so out of hand lately that MLB should do the right thing and suspend  everyone on that list..., 'case by case' as Selig said earlier just isn't enough? Look, I like the game (go Jays!) but this is bordering on stupidity. Donnelly, Logan and Stanton are three guys I never would've taken for users but, that's how the bat breaks I guess! I had a wild idea earlier and I am sure someone will comment on it..., strip everyone found guilty in the report of whatever awards they got while using! The Olympics does it..., see Marion Jones. Why not MLB and other sports? Strip Bonds of his HR title of 73, his HR record and give it back to the two men that deserve it..., Mantle and Aaron! Of course, MLB won't do that so, whatever but it should come down hard on those who are in this report..., but Selig will take his time.

Another thing got my attention..., Mike Richards, a good player for a good team, got a 12 year contract extension today..., 12 years? Look, the guy can score and play with the best of them but a dozen years doesn't make sense? It all started (correct if wrong) with DiPietro getting 15 on Long Island..., not sure if he'll get parole. Then A-Rod gets 10..., is it just me or this getting nuts? I can see 5-7 year contracts..., I like those better since you can at least become a free agent and see what's out there. Thing is, locking into a team long term is just asking for trouble..., possibly. Then a guy, stated on the report reported earlier, gets one year, $19 million?  I just don't understand all this and I hope, for the sake of those who love sports, this all ends..., no more drugs in sports and, to heck with obscenly long contracts!

Don't blame the players.
Blame the steroids. It's all their fault!

Blame the steroids? NO!! Blame the people that make it and take it.

I blame both..., the people who make the drugs and those of which take it. Used to be that players got by on their God given ability but lately...? It's hard to figure out who does and who doesn't take steroids or, any other drug out there.
